BroadwayWorld.com has learned that Donna Lynne Champlin is likely to star as Pirelli and Fogg in the Sweeney Todd Revival.

Reported first here on BroadwayWorld, Michael Cerveris is now confirmed, and Patti LuPone is said to be next for the Sweeney Todd revival.

Reported by the Cincinnati press, is word that the recent student has been cast in the upcoming revival.

Reports say the pop-star 'blew the producers away' at a recent audition for the Broadway revival.

Preview performances will begin in late September with a mid-October opening scheduled at a theatre to be announced.

Franc D'Ambrosio, who starred in the title role of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Tony Award winning musical The Phantom of the Opera for over six years, has just completed a special musical guest star appearance on the NBC Network special Brian Boitano's Skating Spectacular which first aired January 1, 2005 and has been scheduled for rebroadcast on January 29, 2005, 2:00 - 4:00 pm EST. In promotion of the special (preceding its first airing), Brian Boitano chose to perform to D'Ambrosio's extraordinary vocal rendition of 'What Kind of Fool Am I?' on The Today Show in late December, 2004.

PS Classics will record the cast album of the new Broadway production of PACIFIC OVERTURES on February 1, and anticipates a May release. The production, presented by Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) in association with Gorgeous Entertainment (Kumiko Yoshii & Michael Wolk, Producers), began performances at Studio 54 on November 12, 2004, and plays through January 30, 2005.
