Midtown Direct Rep (MDR) continues its 2016-17 staged reading series, Theater at The Woodland, with a presentation of TORN ASUNDER, written by Obie Award-winner Nikkole Salter and directed by Janeece Freeman Clark. This staged reading will be performed for one night only on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 7pm at The Woodland (60 Woodland Rd. Music Director Alan Gilbert will lead the New York Philharmonic in Brahms's Symphony No. 3 and Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, Emperor, with Stephen Hough as soloist, Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at 7:30 p.m.; Thursday, January 12 at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, January 13 at 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday, January 14 at 8:00 p.m. The January 14 performance will be broadcast on Facebook Live, the Philharmonic's second live concert broadcast on Facebook, following the 2016-17 season Opening Gala Concert. Hosted by WQXR's Terrance McKnight and directed by Habib Azar, the live, online broadcast - available at facebook.com/nyphilharmonic - will also feature live interviews with the evening's artists. Hawaii Symphony Orchestra Presents Pearl Harbor 75th Annual Commemoration Concert

 The Hawai'i Symphony Orchestra will present a free concert at the Blaisdell Concert Hall on Wednesday, December 7 at 7:30 pm. This performance is not only intended to remember those who served and died in the attack, but to salute the remaining survivors and all who have served in the armed forces.
