Fashion Photo of the Day 6/28/13 - Julianne Hough
by Rachel Stone - Jun 28, 2013

Julianne Hough knows how to wear a peplum! We've seen so many lately and I don't think they are going anywhere fast. But it's very refreshing to see a sort of rocker/edgy peplum look happening. It's an unexpected twist on a very ladylike silhouette. Leave it to Hough to take a classic shape and step it up a notch in a way no one else has - well Hough and Monique Lhuillier! (more...)

I have so much respect for people who can do that.' - Dan Domenech (more...)

Fashion Photo of the Day 6/27/13 - Miley Cyrus
by Rachel Stone - Jun 27, 2013

It's no secret the young star has undergone a major image overhaul and been experimenting with her style lately. She's done just about everything she can to distance herself from her squeaky clean Disney days and seems to have taken inspiration for her personal style from Pink and Gwen Stefani circa 1999. I am all for changing it up and pushing the boundaries, but I don't usually love her choices. But this look works! (more...)

BWW CD Reviews: Masterwork Broadway's SEVEN COME ELEVEN: A GAMING GAMBOL is a Spunky, Winsome Reverie
by David Clarke - Jul 16, 2013

No sooner than Masterworks Broadway's new release of SEVEN COME ELEVEN: A GAMING GAMBOL starts playing, listeners will find themselves transported to the intimacy of The Upstairs Room, lined with lavish, red fabric and soft light emanating from antique globes. We easily picture ourselves sitting at a small table amidst New Yorkers enjoying a night out on the town. As Julius Monk greets his live audience and us listeners, in our mind's eye we can see the lights dimming and we get lost in the enthusiastic performances of Philip Bruns (the father on Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, the original Morty Seinfeld on Seinfeld), Ceil Cabot, Rex Robbins (1974 GYPSY Revival), Steve Roland, Donna Sanders, and Mary Louise Wilson (1998 CABARET revival, GREY GARDENS), who are accompanied by William Roy and Carl Norman at the plural pianos.
