Harold Sanditen Celebrates New Release SHADES OF BLUE at Metropolitan Room Tonight

LML Music previously announced the August 2013 release of SHADES OF BLUE, a new recording from singer Harold Sanditen. Sanditen recorded SHADES OF BLUE live at The Pheasantry, London UK in November 2012, supported by a lively crowd of players including Michael Roulston, Dave Olney, Paul Merser, Bob Sydor and Steve Bentley-Klein. The group's emerging and established artists were selected from over one hundred applicants. The R & D Group is comprised of artists from multiple theatrical disciplines. The artists and projects were selected to represent a range of different strategies for making new work from creative inquiry and research. Rush tickets to Harold Pinter's NO MAN'S LAND and Samuel Beckett's WAITING FOR GODOT starring Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Billy Crudup and Shuler Hensley directed by Sean Mathias will be available during the run of the limited repertory season. The front row of the orchestra and other locations will be available exclusively to rush ticket buyers. Happy Birthday, Alfred Drake! He is best known for his leading roles in the original Broadway productions of Oklahoma!; Kiss Me, Kate; Kismet; and for playing Marshall Blackstone in the original production of Babes in Arms, (in which he sang the title song) and Hajj in Kismet, for which he received the Tony Award. His 1964 stage performance as Claudius in the Richard Burton Hamlet was filmed live on the stage of the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. His final stage appearance in a musical was in 1973 as Honore LaChaisse in Lerner and Loewe's Gigi. Two years later he starred in a revival of The Skin of Our Teeth. (more...)
