Guest vocalists Dominique Labelle (soprano), Susanne Mentzer (mezzo-soprano), Adam Diegel (tenor), and David Pittsinger (bass-baritone) join the Columbus Symphony, Columbus Symphony Chorus, and Music Director Jean-Marie Zeitouni for a one-night-only season opening performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, the world renowned Ode to Joy. FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY will continue its Fall 2012 season with the return engagement of Tony Award-winning actress and singer Betty Buckley. In an exclusive four-week run, Ms. Buckley premieres her new collection of songs "The Other Women: The Vixens of Broadway." She will perform highlights from some of Broadway's most popular shows, but will celebrate the second female leads, who have introduced classics like "When You're Good to Mama" (Chicago), Another Suitcase In Another Hall (Evita), "I Know Things Now (Into the Woods), "Ribbons Down My Back" (Hello, Dolly!), "Whatever Lola Wants" (Damn Yankees) and "The Miller's Son" (A Little Night Music). Ms. Buckley - who will be joined by Christian Jacob on piano, Tony Marino on bass, Vic Juris on guitar and Todd Isler on drums - will also feature a selection from her new CD Ah Men! The Boys of Broadway, from Palmetto Records, which is based on last year's acclaimed Feinstein's show. Jennifer Gasoi's CD launch concert last month at the Rialto Theatre for her highly-anticipated second children and family music CD, Throw a Penny in the Wishing Well, was an outstanding success. Joining Jennifer were gifted musicians Andy Dacoulis (guitar), Richard Irwin (drums), John Sadowy (piano), Gilbert Joanis (bass), Jonathan Moorman (fiddle), Pat Vetter (saxophone), Ron DiLauro (trumpet) and Pierre Messier (accordion). This dynamic, celebratory concert was a family-outing highlight enjoyed by over 300 smiling, singing and dancing children, parents, friends and grandparents. (more...)
