Cathey will lead the reading of William Youmans', grandnephew of acclaimed composer and producer Vincent Youmans, Off-Broadway bound production of WHAT WOMEN DO (and men too). This new play, directed by Don Stephenson, is a battle-of-the-sexes farce set in New York City. The reading takes place on Thursday and Friday, February 26th and 27th, 2015.

Hennepin Theatre Trust today revealed its stellar 2015-2016 Broadway on Hennepin Season, featuring Broadway's hottest Tony Award-winning shows, seven Minnesota premieres and returning favorites. Making their local debuts are A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, winner of four 2014 Tony Awards including Best Musical; Beautiful - The Carole King Musical, the 2014 Tony Award-winning inspiring true story, and The Bridges of Madison County, the romantic 2014 Tony Award winner for Best Score and Best Orchestrations.
Broadway's THE HEIDI CHRONICLES Offering One-Year Membership to MoMA with Ticket Purchase

In keeping with the spirit of art historian Heidi Holland and her adventurous journey through the remarkable decades of 60s, 70s, and 80s art and culture, producers have announced that the first Broadway revival of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning Wendy Wasserstein play The Heidi Chronicles will offer a free one-year membership to the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) with the purchase of two full price orchestra or front mezzanine tickets to any performance of The Heidi Chronicles through April 16. Tickets must be purchased on or before February 22. Those who are already MoMA members will receive a one-year extension on their membership.

This is when Sheena Jansen and Max Wojtanowicz gather a few of their friends, who just happen to be among the most talented musical theater artists in town, for a little cabaret show. They've been doing it for over two years now, and it just keeps getting better and better. Each month has a theme, and this being February, the theme for this month's show was love. It was a fabulously entertaining night of musical theater, and it also served as a preview for shows to come this spring and summer. The Old Globe today announced it will open its 2015-2016 Season with In Your Arms, a World Premiere dance-theatre musical featuring direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies, Godspell, Lincoln Center Theater's South Pacific) and original music by Tony Award winner Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Once on This Island; two-time Oscar nominee for Anastasia). Co-conceived by Gattelli and Jennifer Manocherian, In Your Arms features 10 dance vignettes written by an incredible and diverse lineup of theatre powerhouses, including Douglas Carter Beane, Nilo Cruz, Christopher Durang, Carrie Fisher, David Henry Hwang, Rajiv Joseph, Terrence McNally, Marsha Norman, Lynn Nottage, and Alfred Uhry. Among them, the creators have amassed 14 Tony Awards, five Pulitzer Prizes, six Pulitzer finalist designations, and one Academy Award.

It was announced today that two-time Olivier Award nominee Scarlett Strallen will take over the role of 'Sibella' in A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, which won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Musical, beginning Tuesday, February 10, 2015. Her predecessor Lisa O'Hare exits the production on February 8, 2015 after originating the role at Hartford Stage, then in San Diego at The Old Globe, and finally on Broadway at The Walter Kerr Theatre.
