The Lincoln Square Business Improvement District (BID) has announced that Tony Award winner Billy Porter, star of the hit Broadway show Kinky Boots, will join as the emcee for the 15th Annual Winter's Eve at Lincoln Square, New York's largest outdoor holiday festival, which is set for tonight, December 1st from 5:30PM - 9:00PM!

Theatrical licensor Music Theatre International (MTI), has secured worldwide licensing rights to the Tony Award winning, Broadway musical sensation Kinky Boots.

KINKY BOOTS collaborators Cyndi Lauper and Harvey Fierstein recently revealed that they are looking forward to working together on another musical. Their chief aim for this upcoming project is to showcase 'older female entertainers.'

KINKY BOOTS is heading to South Korea! This will be the first international production of the Tony-winning musical. The night will kick-off with a special performance from Kinky Boots on the main stage at Dante Park (Broadway & 63rd Street). Headlining the main stage this year is a Winter's Eve favorite, folk legend Arlo Guthrie. This annual holiday festival will feature 20 live performance areas and over 30 restaurants offering savory samples of signature dishes.

Like its composer, KINKY BOOTS is so unusual. Meticulously derivative, yet passingly original.

On Monday, September 8th the Theater People Podcast welcomes the multi-talented Ellyn Marie Marsh. KINKY BOOTS book-writer Harvey Fierstein was recently challenged to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge by KINKY BOOTS composer/lyricist Cyndi Lauper. Not surprisingly, he received a cold surprise when trying to respectfully decline.
