The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced the full slate of 27 musical productions, a developmental reading series and special events for their seventh annual festival. This year's Festival will begin September 27th and continue through October 17th. A full breakdown of this year's performances follows.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Daniel Craig has been signed to star in the film adaptation of Stieg Larsson's 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' and two possible sequels. The film will be written by Steve Zaillan and directed by David Fincher. The two sequels are titled 'The Girl Who Played with Fire' and 'The Girl who Kicked the Hornet's Nest.'

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) has announced that Zach Braff, Bobby Cannavale, Sutton Foster, and Ari Graynor will co-star in the world premiere comedy TRUST, written by Paul Weitz, directed by Peter DuBois. Mr. Weitz returns to Second Stage Theatre, where his plays Privilege and Show People premiered in 2005 and 2006, respectively. Directed by Peter DuBois, who staged Second Stage's acclaimed production of Becky Shaw, TRUST will begin previews on Friday, July 23 at Second Stage Theatre (305 West 43rd street) and officially open on Thursday, August 12. The production runs through September 5.

Emmy(R) Award nominee Maura Tierney ('ER') has joined 'The Whole Truth' as a series regular. The new drama series from Jerry Bruckheimer Television will air Wednesdays from 10:00-11:00 p.m., ET this fall on ABC. According to Entertainment Weekly, Daniel Craig is in early talks to star in 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.' Sony, which is producing the upcoming film says there is no current offer being made, however Craig is scheduled to meet with Davis Fincher the director of the film sometime this week.
