Anne Hathaway Set to Take Part in Songs from CABARET Concert to Benefit Public Theater, 10/24

The Public Theater announced today that Public Theater alumna and Academy Award nominee Anne Hathaway, who played Viola in the critically acclaimed 2009 Shakespeare in the Park production of Twelfth Night, will perform a one-night-only concert, Perfectly Marvelous: The Songs of Cabaret with Anne Hathaway and Friends, on Wednesday, October 24 at 7 p.m. at Joe's Pub to celebrate and support The Public Theater's revitalization of its downtown home at Astor Place. Member tickets on sale now. Single tickets go on sale on Tuesday, October 2.

While other theatres in town are gearing up for their upcoming season, Trustus Theatre will be producing the final show of its 28th Season - the last production under the leadership of Jim and Kay Thigpen. South Carolina playwright Jon Tuttle's new show The Palace of the Moorish Kings will make its world premiere on the Trustus Main Stage under the direction of incoming Artistic Director Dewey Scott-Wiley on Friday, August 10th 2012 at 8:00pm.

Original Broadway cast member Jared Gertner will star as Elder Cunningham in the First National Tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, launching in Denver from August 14-September 2 at The Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Shannon Mullen, who currently stars as Sherrie in ROCK OF AGES' second national tour, has missed four performances. And the show kicked off in October 2011. She's currently proving to Chicagoans she's a tiny powerhouse with a killer voice eight times a week with the rest of the ROCK cast at Chicago's Broadway Playhouse, where the show is currently in the middle of a sit-down run through August 5.
