The Zipper Factory Theater (336 West 37th Street) is pleased to present MONUMENTAL EVENING WITH MILLER & TYSEN, featuring the songs of Chris Miller and Nathan Tysen performed by a 'newly appointed cabinet of musical theatre bad asses' on Monday, January 19 at 8:00 p.m. Chris (music) and Nathan (lyrics) will debut new material from their upcoming commissions at Lincoln Center and Playwrights Horizons, plus songs from The Burnt Part Boys (opening this season in the Vineyard Theatre's lab series). Accompanied by a 5-piece string band, the performers will include Norm Lewis, Leslie Kritzer, Matt Caplan, Allison Case, Charlie Brady, and a reunion of the Drama Desk nominated cast of Fugitive Songs (Halle Petro, Todd Pettiford, Ben Roseberry and Lucia Spina).

Classic Stage Company's upcoming new production of Anton Chekhov's UNCLE VANYA, starring Tony Award winner Denis O'Hare as Vanya, Maggie Gyllenhaal as Yelena and Peter Sarsgaard as Astrov, has set its official opening night for Thursday, February 12 at 7 pm, it was announced today by CSC Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Jessica R. UNCLE VANYA will play a limited engagement through March 1, 2009.

The opening has been scheduled for Sunday, November 9, at 3pm.

Under the mentorship of Tony Award-winning composer/lyricist William Finn, Barrington Stage Company is proud to announce the third exciting season of its acclaimed Musical Theater Lab. Developed by Artistic Director Julianne Boyd in conjunction with Finn in 2006, the Lab is designed to nurture and assist musical theater writers, composers, and lyricists as they create new works. Long-time BSC director Rob Ruggiero returns to direct Richard Greenberg's The Violet Hour, which will play July 17 through August 2. Julianne Boyd will direct Noel Coward's delicious battle-of-the-sexes comedy Private Lives starring Christopher Innvar from August 7 through 24. Private Lives marks the fifth stage collaboration between Boyd and Innvar.
