Cock and Bull Theatre Haunts Berger Park's Gunder House This October

Cock & Bull is proud to present the World Premiere of Lecherous Honey, a new contemporary adaptation of Henrik Ibsen'sGhosts, written by LA Playwright Megan Breen, to be performed at the Berger Park North Mansion (The Gunder House), 6205 N. Sheridan Rd, in Chicago. There will be a preview on Thursday, October 20th, the opening is Friday October 21st, and the Press Night is Saturday, October 22nd. The show will run Thursdays-Saturdays at 7:30PM from October 21st through November 12th.  (more...)

London National Portrait Gallery Presents Centenary Choral Event

The deceptively simple lyrics and melodies of David Lang's Memorial Ground, sung by a massed chorus of voices young and old at the East Neuk Festival on 2 July this year, made for a powerfully moving musical premiere to mark the beginning of the Battle of the Somme a century ago. To commemorate the end of that devastating 21-week battle, a specially revised version of Memorial Ground is performed at a free ticketed event in London at the National Portrait Gallery in November as part of 14-18 NOW, the UK's arts programme for the First World War centenary. Colorado Ballet's second season of Attitude on Santa Fe will feature three new ballets choreographed and performed by Colorado Ballet dancers on September 23 and 24 in the Black Box Theater at the Armstrong Center for Dance, 1075 Santa Fe Drive, Denver, CO.  The September 23 Attitude will only include the performance and the September 24 Attitude will include a catered dinner that features a three course meal and wine prior to the performance. Kinesis Project Dance Theatre Presents SECRETS AND SEAWALL in Fort Tilden

Kinesis Project dance theatre, hosted by The Rockaway Artist Alliance and National Parks Service, will present a performance experience along the beach of Fort Tilden on September 18, 2016 and October 16, 2016 at 1pm and 4:30pm. Audiences will meet at Rockaway Artist Alliance Gallery to be brought to the performance, and should wear clothes for a fall day at the beach and shoes for walking. After the performance, audiences are welcome back to enjoy the art opening at the Rockaways Artist Alliance. A post show conversation with the artists will take place on October 16th after the 4:30pm performance. This fall, the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts transformed much of its campus into a lively Little Italy themed street party in celebration of For The Record: Scorsese - American Crime Requiem. The Wallis and For The Record-the acclaimed company that began in a small bar in East Hollywood in 2010 and whose performances have quickly become must see shows-combined forces to pay homage to the visceral world of Martin Scorsese in a new co production that revolutionized the musical theater experience and brought the legendary filmmaker's epic soundtracks to life in a new generation cabaret, from September 21 through October 16. From the moment audiences arrived at The Wallis, the immersive experience began with special pre-show festivities, continued through an exhilarating performance, and finished with post-show gatherings that featured specially curated entertainment.
