Asolo Repertory Theatre is proud to add I LOVED, I LOST, I MADE SPAGHETTI to its 2013-2014 season. Jacques Lamarre's saucy stage adaptation of Giulia Melucci's memoir will star Antoinette LaVecchia as Melucci, an Italian-American writer living in Brooklyn with an entertainingly unsuccessful love life. This effervescent musical romp will feature Ashley Kate Adams (Miss Dorothy Brown), Brenda Braxton (Muzzy Van Hossmere), Billy Bustamante (Bun Foo), Jeff Kready (Jimmy Smith), Burke Moses (Mr. Trevor Graydon), Lenora Nemetz (Mrs. Meers), James Seol (Ching Ho), Jessica Sheridan (Miss Flannery) and Laurie Veldheer (Millie Dillmount). Thoroughly Modern Millie will be directed by Paper Mill Playhouse Producing Artistic Director Mark S. Hoebee with choreography by Denis Jones. Based on the true story of the mysterious Mr. George Love, Tryst was a West End hit in 1997, and had successful New York runs in both 2006 and 2011, but has never been produced in the DC area until now. David Lindsay-Abaire's quirky coming-of-age tragicomedy Kimberly Akimbo is closing Country Playhouse's 2012-2013 Black Box Season. The 2000 play is an incredibly gripping and compelling tale about a young woman suffering from Progeria, a disease that causes people to age exponentially faster than they are supposed to. Kimberly is approaching her 16th birthday, which a joyous milestone for most teenagers. But 16 is the average life expectancy for those with Progeria. To top it all off, Kimberly's family is a struggling, lower-middle class family with their own set of dark secrets and problems. (more...)

Paper Mill Playhouse presents Thoroughly Modern Millie, winner of the 2002 Drama Desk and Tony Award for Best Musical. This effervescent musical romp will feature Ashley Kate Adams (Miss Dorothy Brown), Brenda Braxton (Muzzy Van Hossmere), Billy Bustamante (Bun Foo), Jeff Kready (Jimmy Smith), Burke Moses (Mr. Trevor Graydon), Lenora Nemetz (Mrs. Meers), James Seol (Ching Ho), Jessica Sheridan (Miss Flannery) and Laurie Veldheer (Millie Dillmount). Thoroughly Modern Millie will be directed by Paper Mill Playhouse Producing Artistic Director Mark S. Hoebee with choreography by Denis Jones.
