Florida Studio Theatre announces the opening of the first show in the Summer Mainstage Season Pump Boys and Dinettes, book, lyrics, and music by John Foley, Mark Hardwick, Debra Monk, Cass Morgan, John Schimmel, and Jim Wann. The show will open in the Gompertz Theatre June 4 and run through June 29, 2014. Subscriptions to see all three shows of the season can be purchased for as little as $39. Danni Smith & Peter Oyloe to Lead Theo Ubique's PASSION; Cast Announced

Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre's production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Passion will feature three Jeff-Award lauded performers in its lead roles, Artistic Director Fred Anzevino has announced. The role of Fosca, the sickly woman obsessed with a handsome young soldier in 19th Century Italy, will be played by Danni Smith, who just last year was honored with the Jeff Award for Actress in a Supporting Role for her work in Bailiwick Chicago's production of the musical See What I Wanna See. Smith's win came after two previous nominations in the same category, for Theo Ubique's Pump Boys and Dinettes and Bohemian Theatre Ensemble's The Glorious Ones. Playing Giorgio, the military officer who is the object of Fosca's affections, will be Peter Oyloe, a three-time Jeff Award winner. Oyloe's recent win as best leading actor in a musical for 2013's Hank Williams: Lost Highway was preceded by wins for his leading role in Equus and supporting role in The Pillowman, both at Redtwist Theatre. Collette Todd, Jeff-nominated for her role as Giulietta in Theo Ubique's Aspects of Love and recipient of critical and audience raves for her leading roles in Light Opera Works' productions of Man of La Mancha, Oliver! and Annie Get Your Gun, will play Clara - the third member of Passion's love triangle. Though times were tough in Limerick, the tales spun by the brothers McCourt simmer with bittersweet recollections, ferocious humor and a parade of colorful characters from the priest who warns of sinners' eyeballs exploding in hell to the McCourt grandmother who spits on Franks unruly Presbyterian hair to tame it. A packed theatre of patrons at last night's opening performance of Camelot was treated to the announcement of Georgia Ensemble Theatre's (GET's) 2014-2015 Season lineup of plays which is filled with musical favorites, powerhouse drama, comedy and a world premiere. Artistic Director Robert J. Farley proudly stood before the crowd for the presentation of plays that are sure to thrill patrons new and old. North Fulton's only professional theatre company is the artistic home to more than 2500 subscribers, as well as dedicated individual ticket buyers who frequent the Roswell-based company throughout the year with its extensive mainstage, theatre for youth, education, and outreach programming. Farley says about the season unveiling, 'I am so very excited about the public announcement of Georgia Ensemble Theatre's 22nd season of professional theatre. These stories represent such great depth, and the talent of the writing that we'll be bringing to the stage beginning in September is astounding. Clearly, Atlanta theatre patrons are just as excited as I am as evidenced by the great feedback we are getting and the already brisk subscription sales.'
