The indie kids band Billy Kelly and The Blahblahblahs will perform at The Jewish Museum on Sunday, October 21 at 2:00 pm. The show features sing-a-longs, dance-a-longs, guessing games, comedy, and a touch of story telling, with music ranging from rock and country to ragtime and ska. Kelly's catchy songs are backed by oversized props, dancing characters and his sock puppet manager Digby. (more...)

Songwriter Tori Amos and playwright Samuel Adamson teamed up with director Marianne Elliot to bring a new musical to the stage. After five years, The Light Princess has come to the National Theatre. The musical opened last night, Oct 9, starring Rosalie Craig as Princess Athea. The Light Princess also stars Amy Booth-Steel as Piper, Nick Hendrix as Prince Digby, David Langham as Flowers, Hal Fowler as King Ignacio, Ben Thompson as Zephyrus, and Kane Oliver Parry as Llewelyn. Eugene O'Neill Theater Center Announces Rachel Jett as Interim Artistic Director of the NTI

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center announced today that Rachel Jett will take the reins of its undergraduate training program, the National Theater Institute (NTI) effective January 1, 2012, replacing Jeff Janisheski, who has led the program as Artistic Director since summer 2008. A national search for a permanent replacement will be conducted in spring 2012, to be completed in early summer. (more...)
