Milwaukee Repertory Theater announced casting today for Good People, the next production in their 2014/15 Quadracci Powerhouse Season. The Tony-nominated play explores complex social questions about class, luck, and escaping our roots with electric energy and razor sharp humor.

Asolo Repertory Theatre kicks off its 2014-15 rep season with three-time Pulitzer Prize winner Thornton Wilder's uproarious romantic comedy, THE MATCHMAKER. Directed by Peter Amster, the play opens Friday, January 9, 2015 at 8pm, with previews Tuesday, January 6 at 7:30 pm, Wednesday, January 7 and Thursday, January 8 at 8pm. THE MATCHMAKER, which was adapted into the Tony Award-winning musical Hello, Dolly!, runs in rotating rep through Saturday, April 11, 2015.

STILL DREAMING, the latest feature documentary from Hank Rogerson and Jilann Spitzmiller (SHAKESPEARE BEHIND BARS, HOMELAND), will have its world premiere at DOC NYC, the United States' largest documentary film festival, tonight, November 18th, 2014 at 7:15pm and November 19th, 2014 at 5pm.

A young man looks toward the future even as he finds himself remembering the past in Brian Friel's comedic drama Philadelphia, Here I Come!, presented by T. Schreiber Theatre at 151 West 26th Street on the 7th floor. Directed by Jake Turner, Philadelphia, Here I Come! will run from today, October 15 through November 22 with performances Wednesday-Saturday at 8pm.

According to the Daily Mail, director Lyndsey Turner and producer Sonia Friedman are in talks with National Theatre Live to film the Barbican Theatre's Summer 2015 production of HAMLET, starring Benedict Cumberbatch in the title role. The production would screen in theaters next year.

Lyndsey Turner's production of William Shakespeare's Hamlet, with Benedict Cumberbatch playing the title role, doesn't begin performances until next summer at the Barbican Theatre, but according to the Telegraph, the show is already breaking records. Tickets for the play went on sale on August 11, and since then the show 'has become the most in-demand theatre production of all time.' Though times were tough in Limerick, the tales spun by the brothers McCourt simmer with bittersweet recollections, ferocious humor and a parade of colorful characters from the priest who warns of sinners' eyeballs exploding in hell to the McCourt grandmother who spits on Franks unruly Presbyterian hair to tame it.
