Ian McDiarmid, Susannah Fielding & More to Star in THE MERCHANT OF VENICE at the Almeida Theatre

Full casting is today announced for Rupert Goold's The Merchant of Venice at the Almeida Theatre. Former Almeida Artistic Director Ian McDiarmid will play Shylock alongside Susannah Fielding and Scott Handy, who reprise their roles as Portia and Antonio. The company includes Vinta Morgan, Vincenzo Nicoli, Finlay Robertson, Raphael Sowole, Tim Steed, Jonathan Tafler, Anthony Welsh, Tom Weston-Jones and original RSC cast members Jamie Beamish, Rebecca Brewer, Caroline Martin and Emily Plumtree.

Debra Winger Replaces Laurie Metcalf in David Mamet's THE ANARCHIST; Stars with Patti LuPone this Winter

Producers Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel and Howard & Janet Kagan have announced that three-time Academy Award nominee Debra Winger will be making her Broadway debut in the American premiere of THE ANARCHIST, a new play written and directed by David Mamet. Winger's previous stage credits include How I Learned to Drive and Ivanov at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts and The Exonerated in New York.

'Shadowlands' Transfers to Novello Theatre by Popular-Demand

Following rave reviews, which made the limited eleven-week season a complete sell-out at Wyndham's Theatre, and therefore due to public demand, the first major revival of William Nicholson's award-winning play Shadowlands will transfer to the Novello Theatre, opening on Friday December 21, for a limited nine-week season.
