It's a winter wonderland, where a snowman comes to life and children find that fairy tales really can come true with the all-new FROSTY THE SNOWMAN (Charlesbridge Publishing/A Peter Yarrow Book for Imagine!; November 18, 2013; ISBN: 978-1-62354-012-8; $17.95; Hardcover with Jacket & CD). Celebrating this cherished holiday classic with music and lyrics by Steve Nelson and Jack Rollins, this full-color picture book, adorned with the magical artwork of award-winning illustrator Wade Zahares, features a special gift for the whole family: a CD with three songs performed by a super-cool Grammy award-winning recording artist, Kenny Loggins.
Now that we've gotten to know our principles, it is time to get down to the foundation of any great show…the ensemble.
Like a page straight out of a comic opera, 'The Most Happy Fella' utilizes a trio of comic relief to introduce us to the world of Tony's Vineyard and just how damn Italian it all is. This relief comes in the form of three chefs that work for Tony and when not cooking, they belt out their powerhouse voices (you have NO idea what you're in store for until you hear them!) that bring down the house eight shows a week. This week I give you the actors that bring Pasquale, Guiseppe and Ciccio to life - Martin Sola, Greg Roderick and Daniel Berryman. I hope you enjoy getting to know this tasty trio! (I promise that sounded a lot less creepy in my head)

The theatrical world is extremely small. There is this preconceived notion that there are thousands of actors and that our community is massive, but when you scale it down to working actors in New York City, we are a thimble sized network of people who all somehow know or know of each other. So when an actress with the talent and resume of Mamie Parris crosses your path just now for the first time, you begin to think to yourself, "Where the hell have I been?"
Verse Music Group & Naxos of America are happy to announce the reissue of iconic 1950's Jazz catalog, Bethlehem Records.

The word 'dysfunctional' is barely adequate to describe the Dockerty family, who live in the working class Sydney suburb of Redfern in the 1950s, the subject of This Old Man Comes Rolling Home.

1993's rarely produced Sunset Boulevard is a flawed, somewhat boring musical play that satisfies best with the casting of an actress of great star quality as Norma Desmond, one whose face could have convincingly lit up a silent film screen. MTW has found its star in Valerie Perri, and under Larry Raben's strong, resourceful staging, Sunset Boulevard is 5-star entertainment.
Bennett & Brubeck - The White House Sessions - Live 1962, the newly discovered recording of two American jazz masters performing an historic one-time-only concert set, has, according to Soundscan, entered the nation's Jazz charts (Traditional Jazz, Current Jazz and Core Overall Jazz) at #2 (and the Billboard 200 at #74), an unprecedented achievement for the first release of music recorded more than a half century ago.

HAPPY DAYS, about to go into repertory with THE FULL MONTY, is a perfectly decent excuse to spend a day or an evening at Allenberry.
Timeless. Enchanting. Impactful. These three words clearly describe the classic musical SOUTH PACIFIC, coming to the DTC stage April 10th through May 5th. From the hauntingly beautiful first three notes of 'Bali Hai' to the romance of 'Some Enchanted Evening,' it's no surprise that this Rodgers & Hammerstein favorite is one of the greatest Broadway musicals of all time.
