Due to popular demand, American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) has announced the extension of the Bay Area premiere of The Scottsboro Boys, the critically acclaimed musical based on a tragic chapter in American history. Tickets are now on sale through Sunday, July 22. Preview performances begin tomorrow, June 21, with opening night scheduled for Wednesday, June 27.
Local TV and radio legend Fritz the Nite Owl will host this year's "Fright Nite Friday" double feature at the CAPA Summer Movie Series. Patrons will have the chance to meet Fritz in the Ohio Theatre lobby for photos and autographs. He'll also introduce both films-Dracula's Daughter (1936) and Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man (1943)-as they make their Series premiere.

On the occasion of the Group Theatre's 80th anniversary, the Martin E. Segal Theatre Center (Frank Hentschker, Executive Director) presents a day of readings, panels, rarely-heard recordings and screenings of unseen footage all dedicated to understanding "The Group Theatre and How it Changed American Culture." Four free flamenco dance lessons, plus tapas and Spanish wine, will be offered as part of Flamenco Festival 2012 at New York City Center, March 1 - 4.
