ComEd to Honor Diane Latiker as 'Neighborhood Hero,' 2/1

Diane Latiker, a mother of eight and grandmother to 13, began her outreach by opening her home as a safe haven to kids on the block. Her compassion to help a few has created an award-winning non-profit organization, 'Kids off the Block,' dedicated to providing more than 1,500 young people positive alternatives to gangs, drugs, truancy, violence, and the juvenile justice system. Today she has a center that services nearly 50 young people each day for tutoring, counseling or activities such as sports, drama, dance and music. (more...)

Pittsburgh CLO has announced that the world premiere of Judge Jackie Justice - A New Musical Comedy will debut at the CLO Cabaret Theater today, January 30 and will run through April 27. CMU graduates Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond are writing the musical, commissioned for the CLO's Cabaret Theater with dramaturgy by Mary Jane Brennan. The show is conceived and will be directed by Pittsburgh CLO Executive Producer Van Kaplan with choreography by Kiesha Lalama and musical direction by Michael Moricz. (more...)

DISASTER!, the critically-acclaimed 1970s disaster movie musical now playing Off-Broadway at the St. Luke's Theatre, will welcome new cast members in February. David Hibbard, previously seen on Broadway in Elf, Billy Elliot, Spamalot, A Class Act, Once Upon a Mattress and Cats (2,197 performances as Rum Tum Tugger), will take over the role of casino owner Tony Delvecchio on February 4th. Max Crumm, best known for winning the reality television series 'Grease: You're the One That I Want!' and subsequently starring in the Broadway revival as Danny Zuko, takes over the role of Scott (replacing original cast member Robb Sapp) on February 14th.
