The Metropolitan Opera will open its 133rd season on Monday, September 25 with a new production of Bellini's bel canto tragedy Norma. Soprano Sondra Radvanovsky returns to the Met as one of the world's leading interpreters of Norma, singing her first season opening performances.

Visceral Dance Chicago will launch its fifth season with their annual Fall Engagement, performing the program at both North Shore Center for the Performing Arts and the Harris Theater in Millennium park- the Company's home theater.

Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival presents AteNine in the Doris Duke Theatre, July 26-30. AteNine, formerly Ate9dANCEcOMPANY, is led by Artistic Director and choreographer Danielle Agami, named “choreography's It girl” by the LA Times. A former dancer and rehearsal director of the world-renowned Batsheva Dance Company, Agami draws from her background in Gaga movement practice to create bold, innovative work. The program will include two works: Exhibit b and excerpts from vickie. San Francisco Opera today announced a cast change for Jules Massenet's Manon, opening November 4 and running for six performances through November 22, 2017.

Zeiders American Dream Theater presents the world premiere new musical, Second To Nun, running June 29 through August 5, 2017. Opening night was Saturday, July 1, coinciding with Canada's 150th Anniversary. Performances continue Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7pm.

The Berlin Philharmonic's 1st Concertmaster, Noah Bendix-Balgley joins the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra for their Masterworks concert, “Myths, Tzars and Musical Giants,” at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts on Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 8pm. Music Director José-Luis Novo will conduct the orchestra and Mr. Bendix-Balgley in Johannes Brahms' Concerto for Violin. The concert will also include Christopher Willibald Gluck's Dance of the Furies from Orfeo and Euridice, Modest Mussorgsky's Introduction and Polonaise from Boris Godunov, and SergeiProkofiev's, Symphony No. 7.

The October 22 matinee, with this cast, will be transmitted worldwide as part of the 11th season of the Met's Live in HD series, which now reaches more than 2,000 movie theaters in 70 countries around the world.
