Boston Ballet's spring season will continue with Marius Petipa's The Sleeping Beauty on March 22 - April 7. Those whose imaginations were inspired by the shimmering beauty of The Nutcracker will be struck by the extraordinary history and sheer opulence of The Sleeping Beauty.

The cast of Pippin will have magic to do at the Music Box Theatre, with preview performances beginning Saturday, March 23, 2013 and opening night on Thursday, April 25, 2013. It might still be another month before fans can check out the cast in action, but you can meet the company of the incoming revival with videos of them from past productions and roles below!

Artists Rep will present The Gin Game by D.L. Coburn, starring Allen Nause and Vana O'Brien, directed by JoAnn Johnson. This two-person, two-act play is a 1978 Pulitzer Prize winner and garnered multiple Tony Award nominations both with its original 1977 production and the Broadway revival in 1997. This play replaces the originally planned production of The Invisible Hand by Ayad Akhtar.

ROCKY - The Musical has released its German trailer, featuring leading actors Drew Sarich and Wietske van Tongeren as Rocky and Adrian, as well as Uwe Dreves as Rocky's coach Mickey. Watch it below!

Source of Joy Theatricals, the producers of the Broadway smash hit THE COLOR PURPLE have announced the Las Vegas Theatre debut August 23 - August 26, 2012 as a special presentation in honor of National Women's Equality Month.

Opening ACT 1's 2012-13 season at The Darkhorse Theatre in Nashville this fall will be the company's revival of Michael Cristofer's The Shadow Box, the 1977 Tony Award winner for best play (which won for Cristofer the 1977 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, brought to the stage by director David McGinnis, who makes his ACT 1 directorial debut with this effort.

When the original Broadway production of Fela! closed in January of 2011, Zuccotti Park was little more than a block-long plaza where Wall Streeters would enjoy a bit of lunchtime sun.  For now, at least, the park has pretty much returned to that status, aside from the tourists taking photos of themselves at the spot now famous for birthing the Occupy Wall Street movement.

ACT - A Contemporary Theatre is pleased to announce the American premiere of lauded playwright Alan Ayckbourn's Sugar Daddies, directed by Ayckbourn himself, as one of the six mainstage selections in the 2013 Season. ACT Artistic Director Kurt Beattie invited Ayckbourn to direct during a meeting in 2011 in England. The opportunity to collaborate in person is the result of ACT's commitment to and success with Ayckbourn's work, which has engendered a lasting artistic relationship. Sugar Daddies is slated to be produced in September and October, 2013. The play will be staged in ACT's Allen Theatre, as productions in-the-round are Ayckbourn's specialty.

REBECCA, the new musical based on the classic novel by Daphne du Maurier novel, has found its male and female leads: Jill Paice will play the role of "I" and Ryan Silverman the role of "Maxim de Winter." REBECCA will open on Broadway Sunday, November 18 at The Broadhurst Theatre. Previews will begin Tuesday, October 30.

Frank Ferrante, the award winning and internationally known comedic actor, stages his virtuoso tribute to Groucho Marx at ACT - A Contemporary Theatre, in An Evening With Groucho. Mr. Ferrante is the winner of the 1987 New York Theatre World Award, nominated for the Outer Critics Circle Award and Laurence Olivier Award, and well-known for his comic creation 'Caesar' with Teatro ZinZanni.

The New Museum's third exhibition for its recently inaugurated ‘Studio 231' series in the museum's adjacent, ground-floor space at 231 Bowery will be 'The Parade: Nathalie Djurberg with Music by Hans Berg,' on view now through August 26, 2012.

New York University's Skirball Center for the Performing Arts presents the U.S. premiere of The Dragon Child, from China Children's Art Theatre, as part of the Skirball Center's Big Red Chair Family Series. Directed by Australia's Peter Wilson, director of the Sydney Olympics Opening Ceremony, The Dragon Child blends Chinese art and culture with puppetry, theatre and animation to bring to life a story of growth, survival and hope.
