The premiere of Atlanta Robbin' Season, the latest chapter in the Emmy(R) Award-winning comedy series from Donald Glover, nabbed the best ratings of any recent basic cable comedy.

The live-action Lion King is set to feature four of the film's original songs by John and Tim Rice. Elton John told The Sun, 'They need to have a new end credits song. There's going to be four of our songs in the film, from the original: 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight?', 'Hakuna Matata', 'I Just Can't Wait To Be King' and 'Circle of Life'. And then there will be an end, closing song, and we've been speaking to Beyonce's people and hopefully Tim and I and her can cook up something.' But Will Scar's 'Be Prepared' Make The Cut For Live-Action THE LION KING?

According to The Sun, Elton John is working with Beyonce to write new music for the upcoming live-action remake of The Lion King, in which Beyonce will play Nala.

The Left Wing, in association with John Turturro, presents the world premiere production of Brandon Cole's Imperfect Love, a serious comedy in two acts. Directed by Michael Di Jiacomo, Imperfect Love is inspired by the tumultuous life of the great Italian actress Eleonora Duse (1858 1924) and her nine-year love affair with the poet and playwright Gabriele D'Annunzio (1863 1938). The production, which runs January 24 February 18, 2018, at The Connelly Theater, features costume and set design by the Academy Award-winning Italian designer Gianni Quaranta (Merchant-Ivory's A Room with a View, Zeffirelli's Romeo and Juliet) and is scheduled to open on February 4. Turturro's 1998 film, Illuminata, which was co-written by Cole and Turturro, was based on Cole's Imperfect Love.

Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, continues its 2017/18 Season with Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest, directed by Michael Cumpsty. Performances play Two River's Rechnitz Theater, 21 Bridge Avenue, through Sunday, December 3. The opening night performance is tonight, November 17 at 7pm.

Tonight, November 6, Sam Shepard's The Late Henry Moss will be presented in a reading to benefit The New Group, with a company including Keith Carradine, Lily Gladstone, Vincent D'Onofrio, Ethan Hawke, Dana Lyn, Clark Middleton, Alessandro Nivola and Yul V zquez. Ethan Hawke directs.

Additional casting has been announced for the upcoming film remake of The Lion King.

Patrick Ignatius' house is being foreclosed. Although he has not lived there for many years, he returns to Cleveland to find something. Frank and Casey are the movers assigned to empty the house. Patrick appeals to them to let him stay for one more night, to find that particular something he thought was long gone. With the help of a deranged street urchin named Mouse, Patrick pulls apart the house, attempting to find what he seeks, but uncovering ghosts and truths long buried. And it's a comedy.

St. Ann's Warehouse's already extended American Premiere of the National Theatre/Headlong production of Duncan Macmillan's People, Places & Things, directed by Jeremy Herrin, opens tonight, October 25, for a run through December 3, 2017.

She has been named Las Vegas's Comedian of the Year nine years in a row and, in 2006, received The Nevada Ballet's Woman of the Year Award.
