Barter Theatre Aims to Raise $475,000 by December 31

While Barter Theatre remains financially sound, officials said the donation goal of $475,000 must be met between now and December 31, 2012. 'This amount is necessary to support the high-quality productions, community services and educational programs for which the 79-year-old theatre has become famous," said Richard Rose, producing artistic director. Danielle of La Salle, Ontario, has just been cast in the lead role of 'Dorothy' after competing in CBC's reality series 'Over the Rainbow.' She will also lead the all-Canadian cast on the tour. Alumnae Theatre Company just announced that the opening of their production the Drowning Girls has to be postponed due to a family emergency with one of the cast members, it is unfortunately necessary to postpone the opening of The Drowning Girls by one day.
