It's Bert and Ernie as you've never seen them before. Inspired by Sesame Street's iconic characters, the World Premiere of 'Bert & Ernie, Goodnight!' will feature the fan-favorite duo of Reed Sigmund and Bradley Greenwald - the stars of Children's Theatre Company's (CTC) 'A Year With Frog & Toad' - in a hilarious musical comedy that for the first-time ever introduces Bert and Ernie as real-life figures.

A Noise Within (ANW) -- the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company hailed by critics as 'adventurous,' 'compelling and current,' 'ingenuity at work,' 'a bona fide class act,' and 'what great theatre is all about' -- continues its trajectory in the 2009-10 season with a slate of six masterworks about individuals who forge their own destinies, much like ANW itself, which takes a momentous step on its journey to a permanent home with a Fall '09 groundbreaking for its Pasadena theatre. The 18th Season, titled 'On the Wings of Fate!', marks the company's last in its current Glendale location before the move in Fall '10 to its spacious new venue. The Fall 2009 line-up opens October 3 with Shakespeare's Richard III, followed by a new adaptation of Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment and Michael Frayn's Noises Off. The Spring 2010 offerings are Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, Clifford Odets' Awake and Sing! and John Millington Synge's The Playboy of the Western World. The company also reprises for the third consecutive year its critically acclaimed and popular production of Beckett's Waiting for Godot for 10 performances in January 2010.

This season, the four-day Festival, which for six decades has become well known for its fearlessness in championing pioneering musical ideas and personalities, pushes the envelope again with programming that reflects the qualities that have made eighth blackbird a growing musical phenomenon-genre-defying variety in wildly collaborative and visually dramatic presentations.

The grants, given annually to honor emerging composers, lyricists and book writers, help to continue Tony Award-winning composer Jonathan Larson's dream of infusing musical theatre with a contemporary, joyful, urban vitality.

In the Beginning runs Jan. 21-Feb. 15 at the Kalita Humphreys Theater. Presenting familiar stories from Genesis - the creation of the world, Adam and Eve in Eden, jealousy and murder among brothers, the world's destruction by water - In the Beginning offers a fresh retelling of age-old tales interspersed with engaging dialogue taken directly from conversations with local community members and respected religious scholars about the text. 'In the Beginning does not present a single, definitive interpretation of the stories we find in Genesis,' Moriarty says. 'Rather, it is a reflection of the conversations we've had with people of faith throughout our community about the text and the personal truths and insights they've found through their own explorations into these stories.'

Producer Howard Panter for Ambassador Theatre Group and co-producers Tulchin/Bartner/Jenkins, Bill Kenwright, Northwater Entertainment, Darren Bagert, and Tom Gregory announced the complete cast and design team for the new Broadway production of the greatest musical comedy GUYS AND DOLLS. Stars Roscoe Orman and Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash are again lending their support to Luna Stage, a New Jersey cultural institution.
