A moving history of one of the most harrowing and inspirational chapters of the Civil Rights movement, a behind the scenes look at the 1,400-year-old conflict between Islam and Christianity, an investigation of the unexplainable phenomenon of Colony Collapse Disorder, and a mash-up of 'Glee' and 'High School Musical' are all part of the wide-ranging lineup of films announced today for inclusion in the International Documentary Association's 14th Annual DocuWeeksTM Theatrical Documentary Showcase.

The Ford's Theatre Society announced that its programming schedule for fall 2010 will include daytime performances of the one-act play 'One Destiny' by Richard Hellesen (October 12-30, 2010) and a continuation of the popular History on Foot walking tours, 'Investigation: Detective McDevitt' and 'A Free Black Woman: Elizabeth Keckly' (September-October 2010).

Taking a page from the High School Musical songbook, Executive Producers James Brolin and Dr. William Lewis, alongside Producer Diane Kirman, will soon present the 'Junior High School Musical' equivalent in the soon-to-be-released Standing Ovation family film. A positive tale of perseverance and passion, Standing Ovation arrives in theaters on July 16, 2010, featuring 20 original songs and 13 never-before-seen dance numbers that showcase a cast of talented young newcomers as they learn the importance of loyalty, friendship and family on a journey to fulfilling their dreams. Faith Prince Brings 'Adelaide' to Orlando in GUYS & DOLLS Concert, 10/9

Everyone's favorite 'Adelaide,' Faith Prince, will be reprising the role she made famous on Broadway in two concerts with the Orlando Philharmonic this October. Prince will star alongside Davis Gaines as Sky Masterson in a concert version of Guys and Dolls that will run at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center on October 9, 2010 and 2:00pm and 8:00pm. Christopher Wilkins conducts the concert, and Mad Cow Theatre's Alan Bruun will direct.

The witty, irrepressible Redbeard works in a bicycle shop near Brighton Beach; the slightly-built, titanic-hearted Domicella splits her time between a desk at the District Attorney's Office, and the kitchen table where she writes. The play speaks (too soon?) about instances of loss as disparate as September 11th and Michael Jackson's death, as well as Domicella's own close scrape on the wild streets of New York.
