The Hollywood Bowl has announced the cast and creative team for a benefit performance of SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, conceived and directed on Broadway by James Lapine.

The Old Globe today announced the full cast for Guys and Dolls, a musical fable of Broadway.

Tomorrow  Is Another Day, featuring new work by Mark Bradford, is presented by the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University and The Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA), in cooperation with the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs, at La Biennale di Venezia 57th International Art Exhibition.

The New York Philharmonic will return to Bravo! A large part of The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre's goal has been to bring entertainment for all ages to the Frederick stage.  The area's only year-round producing theatre has done just that with its popular Children's Theatre.  Opened in 1996, Way Off Broadway's Children's Theatre produces shows the entire family can enjoy.  In the beginning, it produced original musical stage adaptations of classic fairytales.

According to the New York Times, Broadway actress Martha Wright passed away last week in Newburyport, Massachusetts. She was 92 years old.

Lehmann Maupin is pleased to present the gallery's debut solo exhibition for Los Angeles-based photographer Catherine Opie. For the occasion, two concurrent exhibitions will be on view at the gallery's Chelsea and Lower East Side locations, featuring new work by Opie that underscores her on-going dialogue with the history of photography and constructs of identity, both integral aspects of her practice. The artist will be present for opening receptions at both galleries tonight, January 14 from 6-8PM.
