Following four seasons of sold-out concerts, KEYS TO THE FUTURE celebrates its fifth anniversary at a brand new venue and with an even deeper mix of styles and talent. This unique piano festival takes place Tuesday through Thursday, May 25, 26, and 27, at Le Poisson Rouge, 158 Bleecker Street between Sullivan and Thompson St. Each hour-long concert begins at 7:30pm; doors open at 6:30pm.

Acorn Productions, a non-profit art presented located in the Dana Warp Mill, has finalized plans for the 2010 Maine Playwrights Festival (MPF), the ninth annual spotlight on brand new plays by local writers, which will take place from April 15 to May 2 at the St. Lawrence Arts Center on Munjoy Hill in Portland.

The Tony Award®-winning Signature Theatre, nationally known for its interpretation of Stephen Sondheim musicals, celebrated its 20th anniversary season by presenting Sondheim's most popular musical SWEENEY TODD, directed by Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer. The production will end its run in the 276-seat MAX Theater, April 4, 2010.

A young and pregnant American soldier - in disgrace for her treatment of Iraqi prisoners - tells us about 'My Pyramids'; a disillusioned British weapons inspector invites us to witness his suicide at 'Harrowdown Hill'; and an Iraqi woman shares the heartbreaking story of her family's torture in 'Instruments of Yearning'. The characters are all based on real people and events. The play runs from November 13 to 28.
