On Saturday, March 7, 2009, Chicago Opera Theater (COT) hosts its 2009 Spring Gala at The Spertus Institute's new home on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. The Gala Committee, chaired by COT Board Trustee Lincoln S. Ellis, is proud to honor COT General Director Brian Dickie as he marks his 10th year with the company during its 35th Anniversary Season. This annual event will include a performance by the celebrated mezzo-soprano Sandra Piques Eddy and dancing with live music provided by The Chicago Groove Collective.
The world premiere of Keith Bridges stunning new play LIE WITH ME will be launched by Mutineer Theatre Company, the newest performing arts venture in Los Angeles, on March 7, 2009. This inaugural production for the company will be directed by Joe Banno, and will run at the Art/Works Theatre through April 5, 2009.

Artistic Director Jasson Minadakis and Producing Director Ryan Rilette announce Marin Theatre Company's 2009-2010 season, featuring five productions in its Boyer Theatre. The company's 43rd season opens September 15, 2009 with the West Coast Premiere of Chaim Potok's My Name is Asher Lev, adapted by Aaron Posner. It continues with boom by Marin native Peter Sinn Nachtrieb, followed by a National New Play Network World Premiere of Sunlight by Sharr White, and the Bay Area Premiere of Equivocation by Bill Cain. Woody Guthrie's American Song, conceived and adapted by Peter Glazer, rounds out the season.
