The 39 Steps hits Arizona Theatre Company's stage at the Temple of Music and Art. Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps plays from January 14 - February 4, 2012 and continues its run in Phoenix at the Herberger Theater Center from February 9 - 26, 2012.

On the heels of the explosive A Streetcar Named Desire, the Guthrie Theater today announced complete casting for Tennessee Williams' drama Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. This Pulitzer Prize-winning classic about a Southern family in crisis receives its second-ever Guthrie staging. Last produced at the Guthrie in 1976 under the artistic leadership of Michael Langham, this production will play from January 14- February 26, 2012, on the Wurtele Thrust Stage. Lisa Peterson (Major Barbara, Oedipus and Mrs. Warren's Profession) will direct.

One of the most belovedcharacters of American literature comes to life in an imaginative new adaptation of Mark Twain's The Adventures of Tom Sawyer at Kansas City Repertory Theatre. Twain's enduring paean to the joys of childhood is adapted for the stage by Laura Eason and directed by Jeremy B. Cohen. The production runs January 20-February 12 at Spencer Theatre in the James C. Olson Performing Arts Center on the UMKC campus.

Rehearsals are underway for the world premiere of Danai Gurira's The Convert at McCarter Theatre Center in Princeton, NJ, January 13 through February 12, 2012 (press opening: January 20). Directed by Emily Mann, The Convert is produced in association with Center Theatre Group (Los Angeles) and The Goodman Theatre (Chicago). The cast features Pascale Armand, Cheryl Lynn Bruce, Zainab Jah, Kevin Mambo, LeRoy McClain, Warner Joseph Miller, and Harold Surratt.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company today announced an exciting addition to CSC's performance line up with the regional premier of Vern Thiessen's "Shakespeare's Will". For a limited run of only ten performances, this captivating one-woman show features CSC Ensemble member Sherman Fracher and is directed by Producing Artistic Director Brian Isaac Phillips. "Shakespeare's Will" will run concurrently with CSC's production of "Henry VIII: All is True" through February 5, 2012.

Nicholas Hytner's five star award-winning production of One Man, Two Guvnors will transfer to the Theatre Royal Haymarket after two sell-out record-breaking runs at the National and Adelphi Theatres. Booking for performances at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, 2 March - 15 September 2012, will open on 16 December 2011. Owain Arthur will take over as lovable chancer Francis Henshall when the production moves to the Theatre Royal Haymarket having previously stepped in to the role at the Adelphi. Further casting will be announced shortly for the Theatre Royal Haymarket transfer.

The Shakespeare Theatre Company is pleased to partner with Madame Tussauds, bringing a wax figure of William Shakespeare to Washington, D.C. in celebration of STC's 25th Anniversary Season. This STC debut marks the first U.S. public appearance of the wax William Shakespeare; he will be on display at the Company's Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) through May 31, 2012.

The producers of Ghost The Musical announced today that Richard Fleeshman and Caissie Levy will reprise their starring roles as Sam and Molly, which they originated in London's hit West End production, when it premieres this Spring at Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre (205 West 46th Street). They will be joined by Bryce Pinkham as Carl Bruner and newcomer Da'Vine Joy Randolph as Oda Mae Brown. Preview performances will begin on Thursday, March 15, 2012. Opening night is confirmed for Monday, April 23, 2012.
