Silver Spring Stage presents The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams - directed by Laurie Freed and produced by Jerry Schuchman - the classic American memory play of illusion and escape, which spins a beautiful lyrical ode of the fateful Wingfield family with a faded past and hopeful prospect for the future. The Glass Menagerie will perform weekends September 11 to October 4.

On Saturday, September 5, 2009 through Monday, September 7, 2009, the Kennedy Center hosts its eighth annual Page-to-Stage New Play Festival, featuring more than 30 theaters from the D.C. metropolitan area, all with a mission to produce and support new work. The three-day, Center-wide event offers a series of free readings and open rehearsals of plays and musicals being developed by local, regional, and national playwrights, librettists, and composers.

Silver Spring Stage presents Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap, directed by Pauline Griller-Mitchell and produced by Richard Ley, the suspenseful mystery of guests trapped in a small hotel and a detective's search for a killer before the guests are all murdered. The Mousetrap will perform weekends June 26 to July 26 - note: no performances July 4th weekend.
