Singer Nicole Dillenberg stars in a one-woman cabaret style concert that pays tribute to Hollywood star Alice Faye at a 2 PM matinee performance today, June 30th at Arthur Newman Theatre in The Joslyn Center in Palm Desert. Ms. Faye lived in Rancho Mirage and passed away May 9, 1998 at the age of 83. In 'Yes To You', Nicole Dillenberg will tell stories about Alice Faye's long and illustrious career and personal life including her marriage to Phil Harris and Tony Martin.

Ehrenkranz Artistic Director Jane Moss today announced the roster for Lincoln Center's fourth multidisciplinary White Light Festival, October 24 through November 23, 2013. The Festival's focus is music's capacity to illuminate the many dimensions of our interior lives, with a particular emphasis this year on the power of the voice. Spanning numerous musical traditions, genres, and disciplines, the Festival will offer 23 performances, films, and events featuring seven premieres and debuts by artists and companies from more than a dozen countries, including France, India, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, the U.K., Mali, Estonia, Italy, Austria, Canada and the U.S. New to this edition of the Festival is White Light on Film, film screenings followed by discussions with their directors. Yangtze Repertory Theatre's 20th anniversary production is 'The Empress Dowager,' a three-act epic examining 40 years of the reign of the Manchu empress who ruled China from behind the throne. It recounts the perilous journey of an ancient kingdom seeking a place in the modern world. The play is written and directed by Joanna Chan, Artistic Director, and will be performed by a cast of 25 in Mandarin Chinese with English subtitles.
