Just in time for Halloween, Bucks County Playhouse's popular production of Richard O'Brien's 'The Rocky Horror Show' makes its return to New Hope for a limited run beginning Friday, October 21 through Sunday, October 30 with special late night showings.

Mile Square Theatre, Hudson County's leading professional theatre, is proud to present the fourth production of its 2016 season, Dracula: The Journal of Jonathan Harker, a play by Jim Helsinger, from the novel Dracula, by Bram Stoker. 

Rubicon Theatre Company has announced the complete cast of RETURN TO THE FORBIDDEN PLANET, a fabulously campy send up of 'Forbidden Planet' and other sci-fi film and TV shows of the 1950s which melds plot elements from The Tempest with language from multiple plays by Shakespeare.

The rebirth of Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) was celebrated with over 300 guests at the Second Annual Galavant in the Garden on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the magnificent 100-acre 18th century Hortulus Farm in Wrightstown, PA. There was a outstanding concert by the renowned Broadway and television star Megan Hilty. The gala is the premiere fall event of Bucks County complete with aperitifs, a moveable feast, live auction, Hilty's performance and a lavish dessert buffet. Local dignitaries, elected officials and Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) supporters gathered by the river and participated in a groundbreaking ceremony hosted by Tony Award-winning Broadway producers who now manage the Playhouse -- Alexander Fraser, Producing Director ('Kinky Boots', 'The Normal Heart') and Robyn Goodman, Executive Producer ('Avenue Q', 'In the Heights'). Today Keen Artistic Director Jonathan Silverstein announced that tickets for the first performance of Jonathan Larson's Tick, Tick…BOOM!  on Tuesday October 4th will be only $19.90 for all seats in honor of the year Tick, Tick…BOOM! was first workshopped Off-Off-Broadway (September 1990), as well as the year the musical takes place.

She returns to Second Stage Theatre after her acclaimed performance in the title role of Eurydice, during the company's 28th season.

New programming this fall includes a three-part Musical Theatre Writing workshop taught by "Cake Off" composer Adam Gwon, running at the Playhouse August 19 - September 10, and the Saturday Musical Theatre program for children, back by popular demand, among many others!

Just announced, Second Stage Theatre's New York Premiere production of NOTES FROM THE FIELD: DOING TIME IN EDUCATION, the latest work created, written and performed by groundbreaking theatre artist Anna Deavere Smith with music composed and performed by Marcus Shelby and directed by Leonard Foglia, will open on November 2, 2016 at the Tony Kiser Theatre (305 West 43rd Street). Previews will begin on October 15.

The Public Theater will kick off the 2016-17 season in September with a free Public Works musical adaptation of TWELFTH NIGHT, conceived by Kwame Kwei-Armah and Shaina Taub, with music and lyrics by Shaina Taub. Broadway, television and film star Justin Guarini returns to Bucks County Playhouse when he joins Tony nominee Euan Morton, Barrymore winner Michele Ragusa and newcomer Aidan J. Lawrence at Bucks County Playhouse for 'Cake Off,' a new musical by Sheri Wilner, Julia Jordan and Adam Gwon. 'Cake Off', directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch, will preview on August 19, with opening night August 20 and run through September 10, 2016.

The Huntington Theatre Company will open its 2016-2017 season with the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Sunday in the Park with George, Stephen Sondheim's stunning masterpiece about love, inspiration, and "the art of making art." Huntington Artistic Director Peter DuBois (A Little Night Music) will direct. Performances will run September 9 - October 16, 2016 at the Avenue of the Arts / BU Theatre. Tickets are now on sale to the general public.

Playwrights Foundation's 39th Annual Bay Area Playwrights Festival (BAPF) has announced a commitment by The Center for the Art of Translation (CAT) and substantial support for Korean playwright Hansol Jung's play 'Wild Goose Dreams', written in Korean and translated to English, opening the 2016 Bay Area Playwrights Festival July 15-24. The  39th Annual Bay Area Playwrights Festival (BAPF) will open July 15, 2016 featuring staged readings of six acutely original, new works by emerging playwrights reflecting contemporary issues ranging from Futuristic Allegory, Vegas Apocalypse, Korean Social Media Fantasia and Gamer Misogyny, to Magic Neorealism.

As of Thursday, June 9, 2016 Bucks County Playhouse's star-studded production of Robert Harling's "Steel Magnolias," under the direction of Oscar nominee Marsha Mason, becomes the highest-grossing show in Bucks County Playhouse's history.

The National Geographic Bee, the National Geographic Society's annual geography competition, welcomes journalist and humorist Mo Rocca as the new moderator of the competition finals, which will be held at National Geographic headquarters in Washington, D.C.
