With music and lyrics by Tony Award winner Adam Guettel (The Light in the Piazza) and book and lyrics by innovative theatre artist Tina Landau, this haunting musical, which won a Lucille Lortel Award, a Drama Desk Award, and an Obie Award when it premiered in New York, tells the transcendant tale of a true American dreamer.
