Gala Celebration rehearsals are in full swing here at Transcendence! We are gearing up for our end of season celebration and fundraiser. Transcendence Artist Casey Hebbel gives blog readers a sneak peek at how it's all going!!

Yet another well-lived week is in the books here in Sonoma! I cannot believe how close we now are to the end... didn't we just get started? Apparently not since we are well into rehearsals for our final show, the Gala Celebration. And indeed a celebration it has been and will be!

This cast arrived brimming with familiar faces, with whom I could not be happier to be reunited! It is always such fun to be put back in the same place with people whom you haven't seen in years, to get to catch up on life, and relive each other's journeys together. There are some special souls in this group... and just WAIT till you hear them sing!

Coming off of the big dance show of the season, we are switching focus with this one and really focusing on music. We are singing everything from classical arias and reimagined pop songs to Broadway tunes and everything in between!

Many of the cast members also play instruments and are bringing those skills to the stage in addition to their singing and dancing. Not to mention, some of us (*wink wink* that's me!) are learning how to play a new instrument just for this show! It's all very exciting and will definitely be a wonderful evening of music and an excellent celebration of the end of another amazing season!

There may be a ukelele surprise in store for audiences!

Also, I'm sure you have heard talk of the "Best Auction Ever," right? Well, I have to put a little bit of a plug in for that too, especially because one of the auction items is a vacation to Nashville, TN, my home! So, who is going to be the lucky winner to come visit me!? Nashville is such an amazing, fun, creatively-driven town and being away from my sweet city for the past 4 months has definitely made me miss it! I get so excited every time I talk with someone about the city and all it has to offer. I can't wait to show one of you around when you win that trip at the auction!! Check it out online at www.BroadwayAuction.org.

Downtown Nashville is a blast. The winning bidder can come visit me!!

By the way, can we talk about how Sonoma really knows how to throw a party? I had the privilege of attending the Red & White Ball this past weekend, and boy was it a good time! One of our new faces for this show, the lovely MeridetH Clarke, performed two songs at the event to a very captive audience! If you missed her at the ball, be sure you don't miss her again at the Gala. She is truly lovely!

I also had a really wonderful time cutting a rug on the dance floor with some of the amazing friends I have made here in Sonoma, plus some Transcendence faces, and some new friends as well! All in all, an amazing Saturday night in Sonoma!

un with friends, new and old!

As my time here starts to come to a close, I am filled with such gratitude for this lovely little town and Transcendence for making this a second home for me. Life in Nashville is calling me back (my grad school classes have already started... better go write some papers...) but I will truly miss this gorgeous place and the lovely souls that fill it with love.

Have a beautiful week and remember to use your magic!

Casey
