Hartford Stage Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak and Managing Director Michael Stotts will present Samuel Baum's The Engagement Party, directed by Tresnjak. Zach Appelman, Richard Bekins, Mia Dillon and Beth Riesgraf lead the cast. The world premiere play will perform Thursday, January 10, through Sunday, February 3, 2019.

Tunie, also, starred as Marie Van Der Veen, the matriarch and the "moral fiber" of a Native American tribe, on Sundance TV's THE RED ROAD. COMING SOON, Tunie stars in AMC's new series DIETLAND and the BBC/Netflix political drama "The Forgiving Earth".   She also appeared in the highly visible role of Alberta Green in season one of the hit series '24', as well as guest appearances on "Better Call Saul", "Blue Bloods", "Billions", "Alpha House", "Elementary" "Survivor's Remorse", "Zoo", "The Good Wife", 'Law and Order,' 'Sex and the City,' and 'NYPD Blue",  to name a handful.

The Huntington Theatre Company presents the powerful drama Skeleton Crew, by Dominique Morriseau (Detroit '67 and Paradise Blue) and directed by Megan Sandberg-Zakian (Nat Turner in Jerusalem at New York Theatre Workshop and The Convert at Underground Railway Theater). Skeleton Crew runs from March 2 through March 31, 2018 at the South End / Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA.

Today we celebrate the life and career of the late legend Elaine Stritch, who would have been 93 year-old today. 

"Appropriate," the 2014 Obie Award winner for Best New American Play, will be staged at Westport Country Playhouse, from August 15 through September 2.
