Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of THE COMMONS OF PENSACOLA by Amanda Peet, directed by MTC's award-winning artistic director Lynne Meadow is currently in previews at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street). The limited engagement, which opens Thursday, November 21, has already been extended due to overwhelming demand and must close on Sunday, January 26. Manhattan Theatre Club has announced that due to overwhelming demand, THE COMMONS OF PENSACOLA, the world premiere play currently in rehearsals at MTC, is extending an additional three weeks. The limited engagement, which begins previews on Tuesday, October 22 in advance of a Thursday, November 21 opening at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street), must close on Sunday, January 26. This is the last possible extension for the production.

Columbia Records will release 'The Way, Way Back: Music From The Motion Picture,' the soundtrack from the new film from writer/directors Nat Faxon and Jim Rash, today, July 2, 2013. The film will release in select theatres on July 5, 2013 and will expand into a nationwide release throughout the month. The album is currently available for pre-order at http://smarturl.it/twwb.

Museum of the Moving Image will present a preview screening of The Way, Way Back, the eagerly anticipated summer comedy from Fox Searchlight, tonight, June 27, at 7:00 p.m. Following the screening, directors Nat Faxon and Jim Rash (the team that won an Oscar for writingThe Descendants), and the film's stars Liam James and Sam Rockwell will participate in a discussion with Chief Curator David Schwartz. The film, which opens in theaters July 5, also features Steve Carell, Allison Janney, Zoe Levin, and Toni Collette.
