Huntington Theatre Company Board Chairman David Epstein, Education Committee Chair Betsy Banks Epstein, and Norma Jean Calderwood Artistic Director Peter DuBois will be honored with the Wimberly Award at the 2019 Spotlight Spectacular on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 6pm at the Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts. The Spotlight Spectacular co-chairs are Cokie and Lee Perry and Linda and Daniel Waintrup.

Best known for his starring roles in Broadway's A Bronx Tale, Waitress, and Bullets Over Broadway, the award-winning actor will be singing an eclectic mix of jazz, soul, latin, blues, and rock & roll, as well as selections from his Broadway career. This gifted performer will excite and surprise those who thought they knew him. Known to many as an Italian gangster from New York's outer boroughs, this Latin Canadian reveals his true self through the music that has inspired him throughout his life.

Indie film icon John Gallagher will be honored by HeartShare Charities with the Linda Dano Heart Award at their annual spring gala on March 21, 2019 at the Ziegfeld Ballroom. The award honors a celebrity who has demonstrated the highest commitment to the betterment of the lives of at-risk populations, particularly those with intellectual/ developmental disabilities and/or children and youth. Founded in 1914, HeartShare is a leading charity with diverse social and medical programs.

Joshua Turchin will return to The Green Room 42 with his cabaret series, 'The Early Night Show with Joshua Turchin,' on February 10, 2019 at 2pm. Turchin has previously performed two successful shows, 'The Early Night Show at The Green Room' and the 'West End Lounge,' and regularly music directs and accompanies at The Green Room 42's (YOUNG) cabaret series. Special guests from Broadway, television and film will join Turchin on stage. Today, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) announced the initial line-up for the 2019 SCAD aTVfest, Atlanta's only festival dedicated to television. Now in its seventh year, the university's annual signature event celebrating the television industry will be held at SCADshow on February 7 - 9, 2019. Entertainment Weekly (EW) will serve as the first ever Official Media Partner for SCAD aTVfest.

The countdown is on, with just two weeks until pop royalty Lily Allen kicks off her Australian tour at Sydney's Enmore Theatre on Monday 4 February!   

Two-time Tony-winning actress, singer and dancer Sutton Foster returns to Cafe Carlyle, June 11-22. At Cafe Carlyle, she'll perform Broadway favorites and original recordings, focusing on selections from her new album, Take Me to the World, and stories of how being a mother of a two-year-old has informed her work and changed her life.

Continuing its 40th Anniversary Season, Second Stage Theater presents the world premiere of Steven Levenson's play, Days of Rage, directed by Trip Cullman. Two-time Academy Award and Golden Globe Award winning actor Cate Blanchett has signed on to star in Mrs. America, a new limited series ordered by FX and created and written by Emmy Award winning writer Dahvi Waller (Mad Men) and Executive Produced by two-time Academy Award nominee Stacey Sher, Waller, Coco Francini and Blanchett, it was announced today by John Landgraf, CEO, FX Networks and FX Productions. Production of the nine-episode limited series is scheduled for 2019 and it is produced by FX Productions with Waller serving as Showrunner.

New York indie icon John Gallagher will be honored with a Lifetime Career Achievement Award on October 21 at the inaugural Cutting Room International Short Film Festival. A fixture on the New York scene for 40 years as a director, writer, producer, author, historian and educator, with a wide range of international filmmaking resources and relationships, and a highly regarded, encyclopedic knowledge of films and filmmaking, his track record is especially strong in discovering and mentoring new talent, both in front of and behind the camera.

Vulture today announced the lineup for its second annual Vulture Festival Los Angeles Presented by AT&T, a weekend of high-profile events bringing the entertainment site to life, and an expansion of the pop-culture extravaganza that has taken place in New York City for the last five years. Vulture Festival Los Angeles's lineup includes actors in conversation, exclusive screenings, cast reunions, live podcasts, a comedy show, table reads, a private museum tour, and more, taking place November 17–18, primarily at the iconic Hollywood Roosevelt in Los Angeles, with select events at other venues. Additional events will be announced in the coming weeks.

Sarah Q, the new independent feature film from award-winning director John Gallagher (The Deli, The Networker) will have its world premiere at the prestigious Golden Door International Film Festival in Jersey City on Friday September 21. The screening takes place at 7 PM at historic White Eagle Hall, 337 Newark Avenue in Jersey City.

Jean Smart (“Legion,” “Fargo”) will recur in Bravo Media's “Dirty John” playing Arlane Hart, Debra's (Connie Britton) mother. Smart will join Britton and Eric Bana in the scripted anthology series based on the articles and breakout true crime podcast of the same name from Los Angeles Times reporter Christopher Goffard. The series reunites Smart with Bana, who she previously starred alongside in the film “Lucky You.”
