Comedian, performer and storyteller Aladdin Ullah brings the world premiere of  Dishwasher Dreams to the Castillo Theatre (543 W. 42nd Street), October 26 through November 18. Directed by Gabriel Vega Weissman, the production features live music accompaniment by acclaimed Tabla player Avirodh Sharma.

Performances are set to begin Wednesday, May 30, 2018 for a limited run through September 8, 2018 at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture (18 Bleecker Street). Opening Night is set for Today, June 14, 2018 at 7:00PM.

JAG Productions (Vermont's one and only award-winning, professional African-American Theatre company!), will present, the profound jazz musical, Lady Day  Emerson's Bar & Grill by Lanie Robertson. The show will be run from May 24th-May 27th at the Engine Room in White River Junction, May 31st-June 3rd at The Grange Theater in Pomfret and June 7-10 at Main Street Landing's Black Box Theater in Burlington, VT. Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill will be directed by JAG Productions' Founder & Producing Artistic Director, Jarvis Antonio Green.

From May 16 to 27, The Negro Ensemble Company, Inc. will present the world premiere production of 'Hercules Didn't Wade in the Water' by Michael A Jones.  The play is winner of the troupe's 2017 Emerging Playwrights Competition.  Called a 'drama with comedy,' it is a story of displacement of Black families and the forces that lead to it in modern America.  Performances are at Theatre 80 St. Marks, 80 St. Marks Place.

TheatreSouth is proud to bring the compelling legal drama, A Class Act, to the Pompano Beach Cultural Center. Written by Norman Shabel, this play focuses on a trio of lawyers who accuse General Chemical Corporation of polluting water across the country through cancer-causing factory runoff. These attorneys are hoping for a big payoff from the deep pockets of the corporation, while the 'suits' at the latter plan to use blackmail as leverage to pay as little as possible.

Lipuma, presents A Moon for the Misbegotten, written by Eugene O'Neill and directed by WT Resident Director William Brown. The production takes audiences on a deeply personal, high energy journey into the private and public life of this famed Underground Railroad conductor, spiritual icon, revolutionary, and entrepreneur, whose life spanned nine decades and still influences the consciousness of people throughout the world. The production is directed by Clinton Turner Davis and will take stage February 8 to March 4 at Castillo Theatre, 543 West 42nd Street.
