Friday night March 3, MusicWorks is presenting THE FAB FAUX at the Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale for Beatles fans of all ages and hair lengths.

The most musically satisfying Beatles tribute band and State Theatre audience favorite returns performing a hodgepodge of Beatles' hits! With a commitment to the accurate reproduction of The Beatles' repertoire, The Fab Faux treat the seminal music with unwavering respect, and are known for their painstaking recreations of the songs (with emphasis on the later works never performed live by the Beatles).  Far beyond a cover band, they play the music of The Beatles so impeccably that one must experience it to believe it. Imagine hearing complex material like 'Strawberry Fields Forever' or 'I Am the Walrus' performed in complete part-perfect renditions; or such harmony-driven songs as 'Because', 'Nowhere Man', and 'Paperback Writer', reproduced not only note- for-note, but with extra vocalists to achieve a double-tracked effect.

Rock and roll royalty filled the majestic Capitale Wednesday night as the national nonprofit, Little Kids Rock, hosted its eighth annual benefit in Lower Manhattan to support public school students and music teachers with donated instruments, curricular resources, and training.

In the midst of the world's largest yearlong celebration of Shakespeare, which brings 850 events to more than 500,000 Chicagoans and visitors throughout 2016, Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST), the City of Chicago, Chicago Park District and Boeing partner to present the annual citywide summer tradition, Chicago Shakespeare in the Parks. In its fifth anniversary year, the FREE FOR ALL tour is the largest citywide event of the Shakespeare 400 Chicago festival. Made possible by production sponsor BMO Harris, 25 performances of Shakespeare's delightful romantic comedy Twelfth Night tour to 19 neighborhood parks across the City, July 14-August 14, 2016. Adapted and directed by Kirsten Kelly, this jubilant, music-infused production features some of Shakespeare's most beautiful poetry and riotously comedic characters-in a 75-minute theatrical event for audiences of all ages.

Verlocal has recently closed a $2.88 million seed round from investors including VenturesLab and Seven Seas Partners in order to rapidly ramp up its experience marketplace operations. Verlocal launched in October 2014 and converts individuals to one-person businesses through local experiences and helps people make a living while doing what they are truly passionate about. Some of the country's most enduring - and entertaining - musicians and comedians will gather on Veterans' Day for NYC Stands for the Troops: A Night of Music and Laughter to Benefit Our Vets to raise awareness and funds for the men and women who put themselves on the frontline everyday for our country.

The Beatles performance at Dodger Stadium on August 28, 1966 was the second-to-last concert they ever played. Fans will get a jumpstart in celebrating the 50th anniversary of the final Beatles tour, with this program created especially for VPAC. The Fab Faux will recreate the historic set lists played by The Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl and Dodger Stadium in 1964 - 1966 for one-night-only tonight, October 17 at 8pm.
