Written, directed and choreographed by three-time Emmy Award-winner Debbie Allen, Freeze Frame takes audiences on a rollercoaster ride through some of LA's toughest streets where gangs, poverty, violence, and drugs are an everyday reality. Originally commissioned by the Brisbane Arts Festival, Freeze Frame is a dynamic mix of street-tough characters sharing their stories through a series of high-powered scenes of dance, song and drama featuring more than thirty Debbie Allen Dance Academy proteges and professional guest artists.

While sports-lovers are gearing up for football's biggest night, theatre people are probably more interested in the performances than the Panthers and Broncos. Tonight's halftime show will feature Coldplay, with Beyonce and Bruno Mars, but before that, Lady Gaga will kick off the night with the National Anthem. She joins the ranks of such music legends as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Billy Joel, Ray Charles and many more, in singing the beloved tune for Super Bowl 50 at Levi's Stadium, Santa Clara, California. Macy's has partnered with couture and ready-to-wear designer B Michael to produce the first b Michael America runway fashion show at this year's NAACP Image Awards luncheon, which honors the nominees of the 47th annual NAACP Image Awards, on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena, CA. Actress and singer Brandy Norwood, known for her work on 'Moesha,' 'I Still Know What You Did Last Summer,' and 'Cinderella,' will walk in the fashion show. B Michael previously dressed the star for her media junkets during her run in 'Chicago' on Broadway and also collaborated with her costume designer on her new series for BET, 'Zoe Ever After.'

The Ware Center in downtown Lancaster invites the community to enjoy local gospel music and art created by Millersville University's Art & Design Department on First Friday, February 5 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. The Ware Center is located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster. Tickets are required for the 7:30 p.m. show "Gospel Sounds of Lancaster." There is no charge to view the art exhibit on display.
Tony Nominee Kate Baldwin & Paolo Montalban to Lead THE KING AND I at Lyric Opera of Chicago

Lyric Opera of Chicago announced today that Tony Award-nominated Kate Baldwin and Paolo Montalban will star as Anna Leonowens and the King of Siam in Lyric's grand-scale production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's The King and I, April 29-May 22, 2016 (press opening April 30). A graduate of Northwestern University, Baldwin last appeared onstage in Chicago in the Broadway-bound musical Big Fish. Montalban has been seen in Broadway productions of Pacific Overtures and The King and I, and is best known for starring as the Prince in ABC's telefilm of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, alongside Brandy and Whitney Houston.
