THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS Comes to Tampa 10/7-8

THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS, the provocative and wickedly funny theatrical adaptation of the C.S. Lewis novel about spiritual warfare from a demon's point of view, will be presented in a limited engagement at the Ferguson Hall at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, 1010 North W.C. MacInnes Place, in Tampa on Friday, October 7 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, October 8 at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Adriane Lenox, Janel Moloney, Joyce Van Patten Join Cast of LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE, 9/7

Producer Daryl Roth announced today that Tony Award-winner Adriane Lenox (Doubt), two-time Emmy Award nominee Janel Moloney ('The West Wing') and film and TV veteran Joyce Van Patten will join the upcoming cast of the hit Off Broadway show Love, Loss, and What I Wore, beginning Wednesday, September 7 and playing through Sunday, October 2 at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43 Street).

Directors Guild of America to Honor Nora Ephron

Nora Ephron will receive DGA Honors, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Ephron is a screenwriters and directors. She recently wrote and directed the hit movie Julie & Julia, and has received Academy Award nominations for best original screenplay for the immensely popular and critically acclaimed When Harry Met Sally, Silkwood, and Sleepless in Seattle, which she also directed.

Broadway Ad Man and Producer Jeffrey Ash Dies at 65

Jeffrey Ash, a prominent theatrical advertising executive who helped revolutionize Broadway advertising with the first live-action television spot for 'Pippin' and who later became a successful producer for Broadway, off-Broadway, and London's West End, died suddenly August 8, 2011 at his home in Manhattan. He was 65 and for many years had suffered from inclusion body myositis, an autoimmune disorder.
