Lesser America, in residence at Theater for the New City has announced that it will present the world premiere of American River, written by Micheline Auger and directed by Stephen Brackett, opening Saturday, July 14th at 8pm at Theater for the New City, 155 First Avenue, between 9th and 10th Streets. American River marks the close of the inaugural season for Lesser America, a young theater company in residence at Theater for the New City.

The John W. Engeman Theater has just announced the cast and creative team for the hilarious I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE. Previews begin on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 8:00 p.m.; with the official opening on Saturday, July 7 at 8:00 p.m. and running through August 19, 2012.

Carly Sakolove, of YouTube's "Broadway Divas Send in The Clowns," debuted her one woman show I HEAR VOICES this month. The show is written by Sakolove and Tony Award nominee Bill Russell. Following an entirely sold out engagement, Carly is staying in therapy, and I HEAR VOICES will now play additional dates at The Duplex tonight, June 21st and June 29th.

THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS will be return to Charlotte due to popular demand for three performances only at The Knight Theater, Levine Center for the Arts, 430 South Tryon Street, on Friday, June 29 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, June 30 at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.

THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS, the provocative theatrical adaptation of the C.S. Lewis novel about spiritual warfare from a demon's point of view, returns to Atlanta by popular demand for a limited engagement at the ALLIANCE THEATRE, Woodruff Arts Center, 1280 Peachtree Street NE. Performances are tonight, June 7 through 10 and June 14 through 17, Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.
