Prolific musician Deborah Johnson has composed the music for an exciting new musical Stiltz! set to open Friday, September 24 at the Actors Forum Theatre in NoHo. On Stiltz!, Johnson also serves as musical director. Her partner Wayland Pickard (in photo above), another virtuoso, is co-directing the musical with Doug Engalla.

Incoming Artistic Director Mark Clements announced Milwaukee Repertory Theater's 2010/11 season at a special Season Announcement Event held in The Rep's Quadracci Powerhouse. The season includes two American Premieres, a classic of American theater, a play featuring triple threat Australian star Caroline O'Connor and the first ever full-scale musical to be staged on The Rep's Quadracci Powerhouse stage.

In recognition of November as National Disco Awareness Month, two guys in Sherman Oaks, California, have written an hilarious send-up of the Disco 70's - - POLYESTER The Musical, which has its World Premiere on Friday, November 6, 8:00 pm, at the Actors Forum Theatre in NoHo. The musical plays Fridays and Saturdays, 8:00 pm, and Sundays at 3:00 pm, November 6 through December 20, 2009.

Wayland Pickard is headlining his award-winning solo Liberace show, 'The Wonderful World of Liberace', on Friday, Sept 25th in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the Mitchell Hall Auditorium, a 1,500 seat theatre.

Variety reports that a musical performance based on the legendary Liberace hopes to light a few candelabrum on a Broadway 'piano' next Fall season, with 'Liberace: The Man, the Music and the Memories'.
