Skylight Theatre Company has announced the first show of its inaugural season, the world premiere of The Wrong Man. Written and performed by Ross Golan, this unique underground musical about the justice system gone wrong also features Jennifer Brasuell and will be directed and choreographed by Lee Martino. Preview performances of The Wrong Man begin January 25 with opening set for Saturday, February 8 at 8pm. The limited engagement will run through March 2 only.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic joins forces with the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela in TchaikovskyFest - an exploration of Tchaikovsky, led by Gustavo Dudamel, including performances of the six symphonies and selected tone poems; and significant community and education events with Youth Orchestra LA (YOLA), including the TAKE A STAND symposium, which will examine best practices, lessons learned and future directions of music education. Evident during the monumental Mahler Project, presented during the 2011/12 season, the relationship between the LA Phil and the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela is a partnership that transcends limitation and truly epitomizes unity through music. TchaikovskyFest culminates in a joint performance of the two orchestras on March 2 at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Just moments ago, Richard M. Sherman, who with his brother Robert B. Sherman, wrote more motion-picture musical song scores than any other songwriting team in film history, was surprised amongst family and friends upon the dedication ceremony of the Sherman Brothers Star Dressing Room at Hollywood's legendary El Capitan Theatre. Later that evening, Richard Sherman will be the special guest at the opening night of Mary Poppins Sing-A-Long which will run at the El Capitan Theatre until January 26th.

Conductor Robin Ticciati returns to Walt Disney Concert Hall to lead the Los Angeles Philharmonic in the first weekend of Emanuel Ax's Brahms Project, Friday, January 17, at 8 pm, as well as Saturday and Sunday, January 18 and 19, at 2 pm. All three performances feature Ligeti's rarely heard Melodien and Ax playing Brahms' monumental First Piano Concerto. Schumann's Symphony No. 1, 'Spring' will be played Saturday and Sunday.
