The Boston International Kids Film Festival (BIKFF), now in its third year is taking place November 6-8, 2015 at the Seaport World Trade Center. Designed for moviegoers of all ages, the festival will showcase features, shorts and student-made films from around the world. This year's comedies, fantasies, and documentaries will cover tough topics with extraordinary sensitivity and imagination.

Creative Cauldron's Learning Theater ensemble will premiere an original adaptation of Pinocchio, the classic tale of the puppet who dreams of one day becoming a real boy.

Most folks didn't discover the world of classical music through formal concerts. They discovered it through Elmer Fudd singing 'Kill the Wabbit!' and by watching Mickey Mouse trying to stop an army of living broomsticks from drowning him. That same spirit of curiosity, discovery, informality and playfulness fills the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall tonight, Oct. 24, at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., as Pacific Symphony launches its 2015-16 Family Musical Mornings season, sponsored by Farmers & Merchants Bank, with 'Phantoms of the Orchestra.'

Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts launches its 2015-2016 season.

The musical plays at the Bristol Hippodrome from Thursday 29 October, before flying on to Dublin, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Southampton, Norwich, Plymouth and Newcastle throughout 2015/16.

The epic storytelling of Disney's 'The Lion King' continues with THE LION GUARD: RETURN OF THE ROAR, a primetime television movie event premiering TONIGHT, NOVEMBER 22 (7:00 p.m., ET/PT)

Marking their 19th visit to Segerstrom Center for the Arts, audience favorite Emerson String Quartet returns to Samueli Theater tonight, October 22 at 8 p.m. in a program featuring Haydn's dazzling String Quartet in D minor 'Fifths,' Bartok's String Quartet No. 4 and the rarely performed String Quartet No. 15 in G major by Schubert.

The stage production of NEWSIES, now playing a limited run at the Providence Performing Arts Center, features the same stirring and beloved songs that captured the hearts of moviegoers, as well as newly choreographed, high-octane dance numbers that dazzle with gravity-defying leaps and spins.

Music Director Joana Carneiro and Berkeley Symphony perform the U.S. premiere of Russian composer Sofia Gubaidulina's Fachwerk on Thursday, December 3 at 8 pm at Zellerbach Hall in Berkeley, with world-renowned Norwegian bayan pioneer Geir Draugsvoll in his Bay Area debut. Fachwerk was written for bayan (classical accordion), percussion, and strings. The evening opens with two brass works by Italian Renaissance composer Giovanni Gabrieli – Canzon septimi et octavi toni andSonata pian e forte – and concludes with Mussorgsky's much-loved Pictures at an Exhibition.

As previously reported, Rob Marshall (Into the Woods, Chicago) will direct a new Disney film based on their classic 1964 movie, MARY POPPINS. Speaking to Vulture, the helmer revealed more about the project, which will take place in 1934, when the original P.L. Travers books -- about the magical nanny's continued adventures with the Banks family -- were written and could include a cameo (or more, please!) by the original film's legendary star.

Internationally renowned tenor Alok Kumar will take the stage as a solo concert artist with a program including songs by Liszt, Brahms, and Rachmaninoff on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Ware Center. Kumar's performance will be uniquely influenced by Romani music and culture. The Ware Center is located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster.

Rosie O'Donnell will go head to head with EMPIRE's 'Cookie' in an upcoming episode of the hit FOX drama series.

Disney Consumer Products (DCP) unveils a new product collection inspired by Disney•Pixar's animated adventure The Good Dinosaur, which thunders into theaters on November 25, 2015

Soho Rep. and Ars Nova present the New York premiere of Cesar Alvarez's FUTURITY, opening tonight, October 20, and running through November 15, 2015. Directed by Soho Rep. Artistic Director Sarah Benson, FUTURITY is a new, avant-Americana musical with music by Alvarez and The Lisps, and lyrics and book by Alvarez. The production, which features 13 actor-musicians, is presented at the Connelly Theater (220 E. 4th St.) and in association with Carole Shorenstein Hays.
