The Guthrie Theater just completed a four-week run of Obie Award-winning playwright Adam Rapp's The Edge of Our Bodies, an intimate and intriguing story of Bernadette, a young woman at the threshold of adulthood on a harrowing journey in search of experience. This marks the first time that a production of Rapp's work was performed at the Guthrie Theater. The Guthrie's production featured Minnesota native and recent New York transplant Ali Rose Dachis who wowed audiences last year with her turn as Lauren in the Guthrie's Circle Mirror Transformation. Dachis is a 2009 graduate of the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater B.F.A. Actor Training Program. Guthrie Associate Director of Studio Programming Benjamin McGovern directed this powerful and insightful story. Rapp recently stopped by the production, and you can check out a photo below!

Sean Patrick Doyle, who appeared as Chantal the Songbird in the Tony-winning revival of La Cage Aux Folles, has joined the cast of David Gordon Green's 'The Sitter.' Doyle will appear opposite Sam Rockwell (A Behanding in Spokane) and Jonah Hill ('Superbad' and 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall') in the 20th Century Fox film.

MCC Theater has announced the complete cast for the newly reworked and fully re-imagined production of Carrie, the musical. Carrie features music by Michael Gore, lyrics by Dean Pitchford (Academy Award winning composer and lyricist for the original film Fame) and a book by Lawrence D. Cohen (who also adapted the 1974 novel by Stephen King for the 1976 Brian DePalma film). Directed by Stafford Arima, performances for Carrie begin January 31, 2012, at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC). The official opening night is set for March 1, 2012.

Charles Dickens' beloved holiday classic returns to Princeton with McCarter Theatre Center's annual production of A Christmas Carol. Adapted by David Thompson and directed by Michael Unger, the production runs December 4 through December 24.

After a triumphant, six-year run on Broadway, AVENUE Q moved to New World Stages, opening there on October 21 and continuing to play to large houses filled with enthusiastic audiences eight times a week. Steep Theatre Company and the New York-based Naked Angels will be teaming up this fall to workshop a new play by playwright Sarah Burgess titled Earthsiege: Commence.

The reading will take place on Tuesday, November 15 at 8pm at the New Ohio Theatre, located at 154 Christopher Street, between Greenwich and Washington Streets in New York City.

THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS will receive Actors' Equity Association's Advisory Committee on Chorus Affairs (ACCA) Fifth Annual ACCA Award for Outstanding Broadway Chorus. The honor is the only industry accolade of its kind and honors the distinctive talents and contributions made by the original chorus members of a Broadway musical. The award will be presented in the Actors' Equity Association Council Room, overlooking Times Square, on Friday, November 18, 2011.
