Jonathan Bank, Artistic Director of the Drama Desk and OBIE Award-winning Mint Theater, today announced that the Mint's latest production: The Fatal Weakness by George Kelly, would extend performances through October 26th to accommodate audience demand even before it opens. Jesse Marchese directs a cast that features Cliff Bemis, Cynthia Darlow, Kristin Griffith, Sean Patrick Hopkins, Patricia Kilgarriff, and Victoria Mack. November 21, 1963. On the night before their deployment to Vietnam, three young Marines set out for one final boys' night of debauchery. But when Corporal Eddie Birdlace meets Rose, the unassuming and idealistic waitress he enlists to win a cruel bet, she rewrites the rules of the game and opens his eyes to what really matters in life.

Producers David Mirvish and Barry & Fran Weissler just announced that the Tony Award-winning Best Musical TITANIC, with music and lyrics by Maury Yeston and book by Peter Stone, will finally have its Canadian premiere in a brand new production directed by Thom Southerland. TITANIC will play a six-week engagement at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto, from July 22 through August 31. TITANIC will then berth on Broadway in the Fall of 2014.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey continues its 2013 Lend Us Your Ears play reading series with the American premiere of renowned Russian novelist Vladimir Nabokov's only full-length theatrical work, The Tragedy of Mister Morn. Never published during Nabokov's lifetime, The Tragedy of Mister Morn was translated into English by Anastasia Tolstoy (great-great-great-granddaughter of Leo Tolstoy, author of War and Peace andAnna Karenina) and British scholar Thomas Karshan. The Shakespeare Theatre's reading, featuring a prestigious cast of company members and guest artists, marks the very first time the recently translated play will be seen or heard in the United States.
