A Christmas Story, The Musical arrives on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre just in time for the 2012 holiday season. The new musical, based on the 1983 movie perennial, the musical begins performances November 7 at 7PM. The eight-week limited engagement runs through December 30. Opening night is Monday, November 19.

Previews begin tonight for two-time Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz and Katie Holmes in DEAD ACCOUNTS, the new comedy by Pulitzer Prize finalist Theresa Rebeck, directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien. DEAD ACCOUNTS also stars Judy Greer, Josh Hamilton, and two-time Tony Award nominee Jayne Houdyshell.

The November 1 broadcast of 'Katie' will devote the entire hour to ANNIE, now in previews on Broadway. The broadcast will include interviews with stars Katie Finneran (Miss Hannigan), Anthony Warlow (Oliver Warbucks) and Lilla Crawford (Annie), animal trainer Bill Berloni and Sunny (Sandy), original stage and film Annies, Andrea McArdle and Aileen Quinn, and the first network performances by Lilla Crawford and the Orphans (Madi Rae DiPietro, Georgi James, Junah Jang, Tyrah Skye Odoms, Taylor Richardson and Emily Rosenfeld). Manhattan Theatre Club's Broadway production of AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE will resume performances tomorrow at the Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). The show will play their regular 2 PM & 7 PM performances on Wednesday.

Just in time for Halloween, the first national tour of the new musical The Addams Family, will make its Seattle premiere tonight, October 24-November 11, 2012 at The 5th Avenue Theatre. Based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams, this smash Broadway hit brings the darkly delirious world of Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Grandma, Wednesday, Pugsley and, of course, Lurch to spooky and spectacular life.

Signature Theatre's GOLDEN CHILD, by David Henry Hwang, begins performances tonight directed by Leigh Silverman. All tickets for the initial run of the production are $25 as part of the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access. Tickets for the already announced, one week extension are $75. The production runs from October 23 through December 9 and opens November 13 in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

Manhattan Theatre Club has announced that the critically acclaimed revival of Henrik Ibsen's AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE by Rebecca Lenkiewicz, directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes, is extending one week due to popular demand at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). Tickets for the production are now on sale through Sunday, November 18.

He said many superlatives, including, but not limited to, 'You haven't lived til you've seen Morticia in this dress,' and 'Director Jerry Zaks has the Nobel Prize in comedy!'

Following REBECCA's cancellation on Broadway and the news that financier and stock broker Mark C. Hotton was arrested yesterday for his role in the show's collapse, Bloomberg reports that REBECCA's producers now have 10 weeks-until Dec. 31-to raise $4.5 million or face returning millions more to their investors.

The twisting tale of REBECCA's cancellation on Broadway made a new turn this morning with multiple news outlets reporting that troubled financier and stock broker Mark C. Hotton was arrested this morning at 6am for his role in the show's collapse.

According to the New York Post, Ronald Russo , lawyer for producer Ben Sprecher has now said that 'Sprecher had been led to "Abrams" by shadowy Long Island businessman, Mark Hotton, who told him Abrams died before he could hand over the dough, sources have said. There also were three other investors Hotton told Sprecher about who supposedly promised another combined $2 million for the show, the sources have said. But "following an extensive search over the last week, I can now confirm that there is no evidence whatever that "Paul Abrams" or any of the other three investors brought to this production by Mr. Hotton, ever existed," said Sprecher's lawyer, Ronald Russo. The lawyer said they conducted an investigation in both the US and England.'

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director), Barry Grove (Executive Producer), and Mandy Greenfield (Artistic Producer) have announced that THE EXPLORERS CLUB, the world premiere comedy by Tony nominee Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde), will be directed by Marc Bruni (Ordinary Days, Old Jews Telling Jokes) featuring Obie Award winner Steven Boyer and Tony Award winner Richard Easton.

Now according to the New York Times, the United States attorney's office is investigating whether the investor ever existed in the first place. Sprecher told NYT: "I never made up or fabricated any investor, and I never made up Paul Abrams." He also revealed that a new production of Rebecca is in the works that he 'hoped to mount soon, on Broadway or elsewhere.'
