Sundance Institute announced today the films selected to screen in the 2013 Sundance Film Festival out-of-competition sections Spotlight, Park City at Midnight and New Frontier, as well as the installations and performances to be featured in the Festival's New Frontier venue. The Festival takes place January 17-27 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah.

Due to the effects of Hurricane Sandy and the current lack of power at UNDER St. Marks Horse Trade Theater Group has been forced to postpone their First Annual Gotham Storytelling Festival for November 7-12. Unfortunately due to outstanding conflicts Ophira Eisenberg, Real Characters, and Blaise Allysen Kearsley's How I Learned will not be appearing in this year's festival as previously scheduled.

Nonesuch Records releases How I Knew Her-the label debut from Nataly Dawn, the California-based singer/songwriter of the duoPomplamoose-on January 22, 2013. The album-comprising 12 autobiographical, introspective songs by Dawn-was produced by her longtime partner Jack Conte and recorded with a group of accomplished musicians at Prairie Sun Studios in Cotati, CA, where many of her favorite Tom Waits albums had been made.

The popular pop-jazz duo Eric Comstock and Barbara Fasano return to the Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street, to premiere "The Night Has a Thousand Eyes" for a one-week major engagement running through Saturday October 20. The newly minted evening features a treasure chest of assorted jazz and pop gems that the husband and wife tandem pull out by the handful -- songs from the Duke Ellington, Jerome Kern, Cole Porter, Joni Mitchell, Stephen Sondheim and Tom Waits.
