For the first Trench-sponsored event of 2011, Paragon Theatre presents a special staged reading of Tom Stoppard's Rock 'N' Roll, an electrifying collision of the romantic and revolutionary.

With over 30 shows opening on DC area stages, there's lots to choose from for local theatregoers and visitors in February. There's a 'mash-up' festival, a puppet 'slam!', a Tom Stoppard play, the beginning of The Edward Albee Festival, and so much more! So come visit the Nation's Capital and join us for some outstanding theatre.

Arrive at or close to the start time as actors will be grouped to read scenes from the script. The theatre will be open 15 minutes prior to auditions to allow time to fill out paperwork. Please be familiar with the script, which is readily available online. Auditions are open to everyone.

Two of the world's greatest and most eccentric minds, Sigmund Freud and Salvador Dali, collide in Terry Johnson's Olivier award-winning comedy, HYSTERIA, OR FRAGMENTS OF AN ANALYSIS OF AN OBSESSIONAL NEUROSIS, which will close January 30 at Central Square Theater, produced by The Nora Theatre Company and directed by Associate Director Daniel Gidron.

James Purefoy and Sheridan Smith will join Sienna Miller in Terence Rattigan's Flare Path, directed by Trevor Nunn at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. Opening on 10 March 2011 with previews from 4 March 2011 Flare Path is booking until 4 June 2011. Set and costumes are by Stephen Brimson Lewis. Flare Path is produced by Matthew Byam Shaw for Playful Productions, Tom McKitterick and the Theatre Royal Haymarket Company in association with Act Productions Ltd.

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) continues its 2010-11 season with a revival of Nobel Laureate Harold Pinter's most provocative play, The Homecoming, directed by A.C.T. Artistic Director and longtime Pinter collaborator Carey Perloff.

Rehearsals have begun for the acclaimed new production of Tom Stoppard's ARCADIA, directed by five-time Tony Award nominee David Leveaux. The production will start previews Friday, February 25 and open Thursday, March 17 at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street).

Hampton, James & Catherine Berges, The Shubert Organization and The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis announce two-time Golden Globe® winner, Academy Award® & Tony Award® nominee Kathleen Turner will return to Broadway this spring in Matthew Lombardo's new play HIGH, directed by Rob Ruggiero. HIGH will begin previews on Friday, March 25 and open officially on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at the Booth Theatre (222 West 45th Street).

Theatre veterans Kenneth Branagh and Rob Brydon are set to star in The Painkiller at the Lyric Theatre. The production will be a new adaptation of the Francis Veber work by Sean Foley. The show will open on September 29.

Yesterday, January 17, The Public Theater and La MaMa presented a one-night only encore benefit performance of the Belarus Free Theater's acclaimed production of Being Harold Pinter. The show was a sold out hit at this year's Under The Radar Festival. All proceeds from the evening benefit the Belarus Free Theater who is facing persecution in their homeland and barely escaped prison to travel to New York to perform this powerful piece of political theater
